Is this the greatest thing on the face of the earth? Probably not, it's a hot dog griller. But I used to work in a movie theatre and we had a hot dog roller machine that made awesome hot dogs. So I thought I'd try this one. It's small, a little bigger than a toaster but it will roll 8 dogs at a time. The rollers are slow so you can't tell they're even rolling, but in 12-15 min you have tasty hot dogs just like the ones at the movie theatre. The bun warmer will heat 8 buns as well. Truthfully, the bun warmer will dry out your buns just like the big one do. There are ways around that but they may not be mfg recommended. Still the buns aren't excessively dry and they are fine. The cabinet for the machine is a bright yellow or red plastic that is easy to clean. I suggest using a damp NOT WET cloth to clean the rollers when they are warm: they wipe easily clean. I can truthfully say, this is the funnest purchase I have made off Amazon! I love it!!!!(consequently, I'm eating more hot dogs so I have to hit the gym more now!!!) ... show more

I’ve grilled about 50 Costco sized hot dogs on this and I can proudly say it works very well. Only problem is that it only holds 4 hot dogs. I usually turn the clock on for 30 minutes since that is the highest setting and after it’s done they turn out just as good as the gas station hot dogs. You can probably set it for 15 minutes and they will still be very hot. After I’m finished cooking the hot dogs I take a dish cloth with just water on it and wipe the rollers off and the grease just melts. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Fun to have ... show more

The nostalgia of the Oscar Meyer wiener in the form of a hot dog roller grill and toasty buns, is so cool! The hot dogs are evenly cooked and buns are warm and toasted. I used jumbo size dogs because only four fit on the rollers. It took about 10-15 mins to cook the hot dogs. The reviews made me really second-guess that this machine was not worth the money. One person complained that you can’t clean it because the rollers don’t detach. It was not hard to clean this machine. I used a rung out hot towel with white vinegar. Do not clean this with it plugged in! Moving on I would recommend this to everyone! Birthdays, camping, work, and at the park! This was the center piece that made everyone smile! Nice little toy. Cooks dogs and brats REALLY nicely, and the bun warmer works nice too. Easy to use. Somewhat difficult to clean, but expected. 8 dogs? I think not. UNLESS you get the really small Oscar Mayer dogs (or similar), and even then they don’t fit great. We have another cooker, Elite Gourmet cooker (same basic thing) that was only meant for 4 dogs/buns and we use them at the same time to cook 8 dogs/buns. I absolutely LOVE this!!! We have a pool and a waterslide so we are outside a lot playing with the kids. When we go out, I set this up and put the hot dogs on it and when the kids get hungry the hot dogs are ready and hot. It makes life so much easier!! The roller on the top holds a whole pack of hot dogs at the same time. I put the whole pack on there, close the lid and turn it on. It shuts off automatically so you dont have to worry about burning the weiners or the buns. The kids love it too! The hot dogs are cooked perfectly. Sometimes the kids eat the hot dogs with no bun too. They love it both ways, sometime with the bun sometimes without. It is very easy to clean too. Would definitely purchase this again. ... show more

AMAZON TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION!!! Using AI to show 8 hot dogs when only can fit 4 and only if placed staggered on the roller. Photos show 8 hot dogs & description states 8 hot dogs fit. This is deceptive & false advertising!!! Doesn’t roll if hot dogs placed side by side as shown in photos. If you do place side by side or if the hot dogs are thick it rolls out of the lid. Be careful as you might find your dogs on the floor or countertop if you aren’t babysitting it. You need to stagger the hot dogs!!! AGAIN, deceptive advertising. AMAZON TAKE ACTION to correct photos!!! If you cook sausages you have to make sure to straighten them and you might have to put slits in them to keep them rolling. Again, babysit your food. Go back every 5 minutes to look to see how they are cooking. Put the wrapped buns in foil only after the dogs are about to finish so that they don’t get hard. Put them on the rack and NOT on the tray. The tray goes right below the hot dogs to catch the droppings. This is light weight so you can store it back in the box and take it out of the box when you want to use it. Also, it’s small enough and cute enough to leave on the countertop if you use it often or want a conversation piece. I found that putting it at maximum timer setting cooks the dogs evenly. If you put it on the Lower timer setting it cooks unevenly and you may get uneven burn marks. It is a chore to clean so it makes you not want to use this. You do have to make the rollers turn by turning the rollers on to clean all sides of the rollers. So knocked off 2 stars - one for deceptive photos and for deceptive descriptions and one for being hard to clean. ... show more

I was excited to get this cooker. I wanted to "show off" and experience the rolling dogs, the smell of beef dogs filling the room, and how cute and practical it was. But no. I set the machine on my island, opened a new pack of dogs, and placed them on the rollers. I waited until my extremely critical husband went upstairs so that I could hurry up and get this thing going before he came back downstairs. (He says I spend too much money on things we don't need.) So, it was kinda important to convince him that this was worth the money I spent. Bummer. The rollers did not turn and did not even get hot. Cursing under my breath, I rushed to put it back in the box, and hide it before he saw it. That would have been a, "See honey, I told you so!" Yuk...I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT! ... show more
