I purchased an earlier model after my kids played with this at a friend’s home. This new model was supplied to me for testing and a review. All I can say is that this car is a hit equally with all ages—my kids age 8, 11 and 14, my wife and I and even the father of a friend. I gave the stunt car to my daughter to take on vacation with friends in Maine and she reported about her friend’s father, “Nick is weird. He likes playing with the car more than Alice and me.” We have had fun figuring out how to maneuver the car. It is unpredictable because it flips o Ed and then the controls are reversed. This is not a car for racing but for fooling around. With practice we could flip it, ride on the wheels in one side, poo a wheelie and even cause to balance on one side while we spin the wheels that are now on top. The rechargeable battery lasted a good 30 minutes if continuous play, and I brought the spare along in case we needed. 30 minute was long enough for all of us to be satisfied taking turns playing. The car comes with a mini screwdriver to lock and unlock the battery compartment. My only suggestion to the maker is to modify the battery compartment to be more accessible and/or to add a compartment to the controller or the stunt car to stash the screwdriver. I am by no means an expert RC car driver — I don’t game, my hand eye coordination is laughable, and I frequently (to the amusement of my spouse) get my rights and lefts wrong. I’m pretty sure these are the reasons that this car is SO much better than any other RC car I’ve tried! I CANNOT get it stuck!! And believe you me, I *should* have by now. I’ve driven it outside into small rocks and garage doors, and it just keeps bouncing back! I’ve driven it inside under the couch and into the wall, and I can always button-jam the controller and get it unstuck. I’m astonished and I love it! Some other highlights were mentioning: —The wheels are lightweight and pop-off (like the rubber part of a regular tire). This means it’s NOT going to scuff or scratch anything if you’re driving inside! —The car comes with two rechargeable batteries, so you’ll never be without. The controller itself takes regular batteries, but I haven’t had to replace them yet (after going through both rechargeables in the car itself—like 4 hours of drive time). —The lights on it are super cool! They didn’t photograph well inside, but it’s sooooo fun to play with at night! It’s quite bright, and the colors strobe. It’s a big hit with small kids! Overall, I’d totally buy this car again over a traditional looking/style one. We received the car quickly and I am so glad that we did. I got this for my child and honestly the entire house plays with it. It's so much fun. It goes pretty fast and just rolls over if it bumps into something(or someone, we play rough in our house lol) and keeps going. The wheels will flip and just continues. The lights are so cool and very bright. Batteries are rechargeable which is great. They joystick is easy to use. Definitely recommend getting this no matter your age. ... show more

Got this for my 3 year old, and she loves it. The controller is very simple with both joysticks only being able to move vertically. This has definitely been a plus for my kid who is still learning how joysticks work and on gaming controller moves them all willy-nilly. The car itself is pretty durable. It’s taken beatings driving into walls full speed and flipping over pretty hard. It shows no signs of damage, even times I was sure it would be. The tires are pretty rugged and has no issues transitioning from concrete, to grass, to dirt. I got this for my 4 year old son and he loves this car! It’s bright, comes with two rechargeable batteries, and will entertain your kids (or yourself) for hours! Most RC cars get stuck, but this car is very light and has never been stuck and ruined the fun. I LOVE how it comes with an extra rechargeable battery, we never have a dead RC car again!
