My little rescue dog is the love of my life, but until I got him two years ago, I had no idea that there were actually dogs who were picky eaters. We have tried probably a dozen different kibbles, and he likes them all for a few days and then after that refuses to eat them. Thankfully, the Origen Amazing Grains has emerged as a winner. He still requires two different foods in rotation at all times so he has a different meal for breakfast and dinner (I know, I know; you'd think I could just let him get hungry enough and he would eat the same thing, but no) -- but he is consistently willing to eat the Orijen as a daily food for one of his meals. It has a good ingredient list, and I'm grateful to have found a food my picky buddy will eat regularly. ... show more

It has a strong fish smell, but we keep it in an air tight container. The kibble looks different than the grain free version (smaller and more irregular). This is a high quality/nutrient product, especially for 90% fish and gives my dog the higher protein he needs as he gets older to keep his strength. I’d give the value a B+. I think this is a worse value than ACANA Wholesome Grains Sea To Stream. Orijen product has 20% more protein but costs 26% more than the ACANA competitor. So unless you get the Orijen on sale, your dollar per gram of protein goes further with ACANA. ... show more

This dog food is a great natural ingredients the six fish flavor doesn’t even contain salt I had a problem with my six fish amazing grain dog food 22 lbs bag that was delivered I called Amazon they resolved the problem immediately the customer service man was great I am confused about why some people write reviews saying Amazon is not taking care of customer complaints ( product problems ) Amazon is a very good company they are very helpful if there are issues with products They are very customer loyal and want the customer to be happy I have a prime membership that I pay for monthly approximately $16 it gives me a countless number of benefits like free shipping and free returns free Amazon prime TV discounts at Whole Foods the list goes on and on the benefits I get in return for this 16$ monthly payment for being a member Previously I mentioned something about salt on a dog food label any ingredients listed after salt is supposed to be less than one percent Salt and a dog food has to be 1% or less so any ingredient after salt will be 1% or less remember ingredients start from left to right reading it like a book 1st ingredient to the last ingredient highest amount to lowest amount It’s a sliding scale I’m glad the orijen six fish amazing grains doesn’t have any salt at all ( no salt ) another great food from orijens ... show more

This dog food is VERY heavy. I was shocked at the weight of such a small bag, but Sammy seems to like it! As soon as its in the bowl, its gone. Its too soon to see if his coat is any smoother, but he is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, so his coat is very fuzzy naturally. I will say that this particular chow is extremely expensive for the amount. I feed my boys twice a day and needless to say, $28 after tax for 4 pounds of food only feeds my one boy for a few days. If I continued to use this food for him it would cost me around $120 per month which is somewhat extreme. ... show more

I trust this dog food company and I mix this good dog food , half and half with Real raw milk ,which I buy from a local farmer that I know. My dogs are 10, 9 and 12 years old, doing very, very well on this food, with no health complaints or issues. I will continue to buy this dog food.

I received this dog food as a part of a review and trial from Home Testers Club and it definitely did not disappoint. Upon receiving it I read the packaging to make sure it had an appropriate amount of protein and fat for my pups. I have two Pitbulls and their breed requires high protein and high fat for their diet. This food is almost perfectly balanced for them so that made me happy, however, it still needed to be put to the test of two finicky eaters. The food itself is very high calorie compared to a lot of mainstream dry dog foods, so definitely read the directions for feeding and give the appropriate amount as it is likely less kibble than you are used to dishing out for your fur baby. My first impression was a little shocked at the smell. It smells pretty bad in my opinion, however it comes in a recloseable bag so that isn't a deal breaker. Both dogs actually loved it. And they both seemed to take to it well and thrive with plenty of energy and no upset stomachs. ... show more

This is the best dry food you can get. this new formula of amazing grains is coated with powder flavor (I'm guessing freeze dried meat) so my dogs like it more. It's pretty high price but if you compare it to other quality products it's not a bad value.
