I have 2 cats. Was feeding them a mix of instinct ultimate protein chicken & meow mix chicken. I usually mix 2 brands just in case I can’t get 1 or they run out I know they’ve already been accustomed to eating the other & wont be vomiting getting used to a new food all of a sudden.. well one cat was getting too fat with the meow mix & I’m trying to remove tricalcium phosphate from all my pets foods to protect their kidneys. So I slowly started adding Origen to the instinct dry cat food & maybe transition off instinct completely until I find a healthier replacement. Both of my finicky cats love this food and gobble it up which was a great surprise to me! No litter box or vomiting issues.Litter box is less stinky for whatever reason. # of my 4 cats actually prefer the Orijen over their wet food. It doesn't matter what wet food or what flavor -- i've stopped trying. The Orijen is high quality and they all loo great, so if that's their choice, so be it.

I bought this after comparing most major brands. Kitty immediately liked it. I only feed a small pinch of dry food a day as snacks and need something higher quality. The bag however is not resealable which I find odd but I had containers for these anyways, otherwise it will be a problem.

I started using this food about 4 months ago and my cats (2 and 3 year old males) love it, and even prefer it to some of their wet food. I like the way it comes packaged with most of the air evacuated from the bag. The large bag is also easy to open by pulling on a tab that prevents you from ripping it in the wrong spot. However, I you can't reseal the large bag, and I wish that feature was included in the packaging. It's rather expensive, but the ingredient list is impressive so I think it's worth the price. Orijen and Acana are what I have always fed my dogs. Lily, was found in our forest at four weeks old and I bottle fed her, until she could start dry food.
