I bought this for a banjo, and while advertised as one it is clearly NOT a banjo shaped case. It is however, a parlor/junior/student acoustic guitar case. It fits perfectly my 50 year old guitar I got when I was a kid. It will hold a banjo, yes...but not much better than a padded bass case. So knock a star off for banjos...but a great soft case for junior acoustic guitars. ... show more

I got this as an extra Christmas present for my boyfriend to hold his other present which is a banjo. When the package arrived I was a little worried the instrumemt wouldn't fit because I know nothing about instruments but the case banjo perfectly! I didn't even realize it had a second pocket on the base of the case. It's beautiful, sturdy, and holds the banjo in place like I wanted! 10/10 ... show more

    • Stylish lightweight case perfect for wandering around.
I purchased this for my Mike Ramsey Open Back Banjo. 12" rim with a 25 1/2" scale. It fits perfectly. The zippers seem to be of high quality and work well. The front compartment fits my Cromebook, which is cool. The top compartment is good for a cellphone and maybe some pens and pencils, a toothbrush & paste. This case does not have the thickest padding. It's great for wandering around a festival, but I'd recommend putting it back in a hardcase when packing up the car. The straps are comfortable and adjust easily. I like them loose so that the top sits low behind your head. My only grievance: The weird little velcro security strap that goes around the neck is badly placed and made out of a material that could scratch the neck. A different scale might change this, but mine was located right where my 5th string is making the use of this strap awkward. I opted to simply cut it out all together. I like a stylish case. The standard black options are fine, but this case feels like something I might have found for sale in a parking lot at a Grateful Dead show. I think I used to own a pair of shorts with the same pattern. ... show more
