  • Amazing

  • Perfect for any teacher!
I got this book to use as supplemental reading for an Oregon Trail unit (5th). My students loved this book! I jumped around in the sections depending on what part of the trail we were on. • Five Stars
I enjoyed the stories very much. Some were short, others lengthy. Written by the actual travelers.

  • Not as informative as it could have been
Some of the first-hand accounts were very informative about life on the Oregon Trail. I enjoyed reading those stories because it gave a very real sense what it was like to live during that time. Unfortunately, there were also many generalized accounts that did nothing to really tell me about life on the trail. The book does have some interesting parts, but overall, not worth the money. ... show more
