I bought this as a gift for my son and he's loving it. Just before Christmas he started getting interested in all the different states, and this atlas fuels that interest so well. • Excellent Way to explore the US
Format: Paperback
I didn't buy this for a child. I bought it for me, a 73 year old. This National Geographic book is excellent in teaching us about the states, the capitals and the major cities. I know so much more now than I did before about each state. I love this book. Also I purchased the National Geographic Book of the World and I have really loved that! I've learned so much I never knew and now I can match countries to the areas that they inhabit. SO INTERESTING! ... show more

  • Error in facts
Format: Paperback
Nice atlas but not 100% accurate. It says California is the largest state in The West which includes Alaska. Accuracy is especially important in a kid's publication. Can't find anywhere to report it to National Geographic.
