  • Works great!
Size: 7
Very pleased. Removed stick on tile and linoleum glued on with...50 yr old caulk ??This left behind a sticky disaster in one room and impossible to scrap off glue/paper in the other, both on hard wood. After coating and waiting 10 mins I could scrub off the sticky glue with a bristle brush and soapy water. It did take several buckets of clean water. The other room had to be scraped then scrubbed. Ot may have been easier if the floors were not warpped. Both floors are old and still need to be sanded. ... show more

  • Unimpressive
Size: 7
The label claims it removes carpet glue. No, I'm sorry it does not. I tried scraping up glue 5 minutes after the application, 30 minutes after and after leaving it on overnight. The results were disappointing. This is all in preparation for laying tile. The thinset mortar will not adhere to the old glue so ALL the old glue must be removed. If you have old carpet glue to remove, save your money for a reciprocating saw and scraping attachments. ... show more

  • It doesn't work
Size: 7
I just gutted my kitchen, and the original oak floors were covered in tar paper, 1/4" plywood, and then carpet, which of course all had to go. Part of the floor had some weird green felt stuff that was glued down. I was able to steam the tar paper and felt off, but a residue of tar and glue was left on the wood. I am trying desperately to remove the tar. This product's label claimed it would remove tar and glue, and that it worked on wood, so I was very hopeful. I sprayed it on and left it for the recommended 1/2 hour. On the glue it did nothing. At. All. I ended up using vinegar and hot water on that, and finally got it off. The tar residue turned into an oily mess. At first it wasn't coming of at all but then I let it sit for a total of 2 hours, thinking it just needed more time. I only sprayed an area about 6 feet x 18 inches or so. It took an entire roll of paper towels to just get a thin layer of it off. The tar is still there. I think if all you wanted to do was get some random tar splashes off your car it might work fine, but I hope I can save anyone out there from the hours of sheer awfulness I went through trying to get my oak floors back. If you are trying to get tar or glue residue off of flooring, don't waste your money on this product. Money down the drain. I would give it a zero if I could. ... show more

  • Did not remove shingle scuff marks off of vinyl siding like many users claimed it would???
Size: 7
Seemed like a decent product but did not do what many claimed it would do and that is remove shingle scuff marks off of the vinyl siding. Probably works good on other stuff too but did not work for me in this case and was rather expensive to get the same results as most other cleaners could have done. Ended up using mineral spirits and paint thinner and had to wipe the whole side of the home and clean it with soap when finished. ... show more

  • 6 months of tub scum wiped off with a swipe
Size: 7
I am dead serious. (ok I also admit I hate cleaning the tub...but its not for lack of trying...the other cleaners just didn't cut the grime) I have no purpose in giving a raving review except to help out a fellow wife and mom like myself. all I did was pour some of this stuff into a little spray bottle...spray down the entire bowl of the tub and let it sit for...maybe a half hour...I don't think it really matters...just long enough for it to soften the tub gunk. then I came back and literally wiped it off. there were a couple spots where I re-applied and re-wiped, but i'm telling you I DID NOT SCRUB. I have died and gone to heaven. and not only that, but this stuff is all natural! you can use it to clean your baby's feet if you want! lol. and it smells like oranges. oh please invest in this big jug of miracles. you will not be sorry. oh and ps...my husband had a shirt that had a piece of packing tape on it (for who knows how long) and as I took it off, the glue stretched and snapped back to the shirt....it was really sticky and I knew washing it wouldn't take it off. this stuff literally 'de solved it'. pretty sure its good for anything sticky, ooey gluey or gewy...or scummy...or ...you get the idea. get it and share it with your mother in law. (its always nice to know something she doesn't) ... show more

  • Works well, don't expect a miracle cure-all
Size: 7
Worked well for softening black mastic on wood floors. I have 100 year old Douglas fir flooring that was, at one time, covered with 9x9 linoleum tile and black mastic. This worked well in conjunction with a few other techniques to get rid of the mastic. Hot water and soap helps to clean a large area first, and this solvent really helps tac up and dissolve large, stubborn deposits. The remainder comes up well with a heavy duty spray degreaser and a puty knife, as long as it is kept wet. Worked like a charm ... show more

  • Orange sol saved the paint on the front of our motor home!
Size: 7
Product worked extremely well. The project was to remove 3M adhesive left when the clear film (diamond shield) was removed from the front of the motor home. The Diamond shield product failed and was turning brown. Once the film was removed, it left adhesive all over the front of the coach. I tried several "paint safe" chemicals including go gone. None of these products phased the adhesive. I sprayed Orange Sol on a small section and let it sit. Came back a few minutes later and sprayed a second application. I used a 1/2" delta stick nylon scraper and the adhesive was coming on in ribbons. Some areas did require additional orange sol and time, but with a little patience, all came off. The product worked as advertised or even slightly better. It works! ... show more

  • Great at removing Diamond shield from RV
Size: 7
Used this to remove the diamond Shield off the front of my RV that was 12 years old. I was very impressed with the performance of the solvent especially since it is somewhat green. I tried just about everything before using this including trying to pressure wash it off nothing worked. 12 hours a lot of patience and I was able to remove all of the diamond Shield along with the glue without damaging the paint. ... show more
