I used this cable to connect my TV to the home theater system amplifier so I could get pure digital sound. I ordered thie 10' length so I would have enough to run the distance and then some. It works perfectly. It is constructed of sturdy materials and the optical connection comes protected with a cap, so I cannot be harmed before installation.
