Wife’s car looks awesome! Easiest kit I’ve ever installed on any of my cars. Also the best quality to be honest. Having metal frames and taps with screw holes makes it really ridged. Looks good on my low riders but I also wouldn’t have no hesitation to install on my off road rig and hit the trails! This is a quality underbody light set. The lights are very bright and notifiable when installed. The colors are really nice but the control box is not as reliable. You need to keep this somewhere safe in the car ( it doesn't handle heat, cold or moisture well). Make sure to use fuses and reliable wiring/installation techniques. ... show more

This is a great product. I had an issue with the main control box in which the power wire that plugs in became seized in, but I honestly believe this was caused by the salt air when I shipped the vehicle back from overseas. When I reached out to Opt 7, their Escalation Manager was quick to respond an assist with the troubleshooting. When it was determined that the control box had failed. They offered to send a replacement free of charge even though it had been more than a year since I purchased the lights. All around great customer service. ... show more

Looks to be good quality. Well thought out design and instructions are easy enough. Provided plenty of wire and packaging was great. So, why only 4 stars? It is sold as for “RV” use. However, it is really to short to use on all but the smallest of RVs. I will need two kits to do both sides or have to settle for just one side. ... show more

I had these lights for an about 7 months now and they work amazing, I especially life the fact that theirs is a mode for the lights to switch with the music in the car. I did come up into a issue lately with my car hitting a parking bump and breaking off my cable to one of the lights ( all the other lights still work perfectly) so I contacted customer service and they helped me by getting me a replacement (there amazing for that )quick response and attention to detail couldn’t ask for anything else. ... show more

Do NOT install the control box in the engine bay. Do not connect directly to car battery terminals. Ever. It's a cheap 12v system. It's circuitry needs protection. There's a video review here where the box is on fire. Install it in the rear boot compartment or under a seat where its protected from the elements. Then run the power wire to the internal fuse box where it has a regulated flow of 12v power. I bought this kit because of the photos provided in the product description. Needless to say the photos don't match the item. The bars are not one piece. They are cut in half and joined by wires. Which is bizarre. The bar is also not fully flat as the mounting point is a separate piece, and raises the bar 2mm off of the surface. Dislikes: (1) Aluminium bar itself is bright silver and can be seen under the car once its installed. Its highly visible. (2) You can't daisy-chain the strips together. You MUST route all wires directly to the control box. (3) There is no double sided tape included. (4) There is a mounting hole on the end of each strip. These are NOT flat to the surface of the bar. They are 2mm offset. (5) The images provided in the product description are misleading. I thought the bars were completely flat for easy installation. They are not. You will 100% need adhesive tape to install. (6) The wire length is short. I installed the kit on an Mx5 ND Rf and just had enough length for my installation. (7) Wire connectors are bulky and cannot be easily routed throughout the car. (8) The control box MUST be installed inside the car where its protected from any moisture. That means its not weather proof. Likes: (1) Separate remote. Trust me, using your phone is not recommended. (2) The light emitted is sufficient for use. It's not overly bright, but just adequate for purpose. (3) I bought the kit for solid colours only. Red suits the car. And it's adequate for purpose. I can't comment on the company as of yet, I've had no issues. But I received the kit via Amazon so the shipping was fast and any warranty issues should be resolved quickly. Judging by other reviews it seems opt7 isn't a company you want to call or depend upon. ... show more
