Sand in my pants is a rich sunflower yellow just like pictured here! Since it looks like a super healthy pasture raised egg's yolk, wore it for Easter! So pretty, lots of compliments. Not streaky and self levels well if glide on. Two even coats really glows!

OPI did a good job with this, I think. I paint, so I know it's hard to work with a non-toxic yellow pigment (cadmium, you sit down), and so this unsurprisingly took three layers to get good opacity. I should've undercoated with a white, or maybe a red as this is a warm yellow, as a base, but unfortunately I don't have one of those. But honestly, I was expecting it to take more, and the opacity was nearly there after two coats.

Overall this is one of the best OPI colors I’ve ever purchased. I have a skin tone similar to Jlo and wanted a pretty yellow for my toes that wasn’t an Easter egg yellow. This is a true mango yellow! It seem orangey in som light but it’s truly just an island yellow. Like a sun set on the beach. It’s a bit streaky on the first coat but 2-3 total does the trick. It lasts for a week or so and I use sèche vite too coat. It’s a good formula overall, just classic opi! For a woman of color or just anyone with a tan this is the one for you!

I understand that it's difficult to make certain pigments work as a nail polish. Yellows are notoriously difficult (as are whites), but this stuff is terrible. I was giving myself a springtime mani of crocus colors - purple and golden yellow - with cheaper drugstore brands and got so frustrated with the yellow I hopped on to Amazon vowing to buy some decent polish no matter what the cost! (Within reason, of course.) And then waited two days for my thoroughly-researched OPI to arrive. The color is a gorgeous golden yellow; bright but not harsh, ya know, like crocuses! Well, it's a beautiful disappointment. Everything that can be wrong with a polish is wrong with this. It's thin and streaky and yet manages to be sticky and pull up previous layers at the same time. The drying time is ridiculous, regardless of how light of a streaky coat you apply. 1st coat 30 minutes dry time, 2nd coat, still tacky after an hour. I know some people enjoy spending time doing their nails, and while I do consider it a hobby of sorts, I have no interest in buying and applying a base coat, 3-4-5 color coats, drying drops, a top coat and more, just to have my nails look pretty for a day or two. Too much money and even though it's an old meme, ain't nobody got time for that! If you do happen to like investing time and money in your digit tips, I will say that this streaky and blotchy polish doesn't seem to chip or wear off very easily. You can have an intact, ugly manicure for days! I really wanted to like this, but I suggest sticking with cheap yellows (even my $ Store yellow is better) until someone perfects their pigments.

Color is lovely, a nice soft neutral yellow, but goes on super streaky. Requires 3 coats minimum. Too fussy for this low maintenance gal!
