We have two cats that we are very, very fussy about. They have the best of everything and I have done lots of research to ensure this. My feeling is, like children, they didn't ask to be put here so if they're our responsibility they deserve the best. I started with Blue Buffalo but wanted something even better. I researched and almost bought Royal Canin but found it had fillers in it..nope! My research brought me to this food and I thought I'd give it a try bcuz I really liked that the ingredients were locally sourced and there were no "fake" ingredients. Well one of the ways I check to see if the food is fresh is its initial smell from the bag. If it smells like "cat food" (yes, the food manufacturers add fake smell for us and fake taste for our furries), I immediately discard it. This food smelled exactly like it should...nasty. I know that sounds contradictory but trust me I do my research. Another sure way of seeing the results of the food I feed them is in the litter box (btw stainless is the best for a litter box base and Arm & Hammer's new Hardball litter is the BEST!). Since using this new food our Siamese and Ragdoll's poops have been firm and smelly and their coats are shiny, healthy, and beautiful. Now my #1 cat food of choice!! ... show more

My cats absolutely LOVE this food all three of them go crazy for it when it’s feeding time. The food that they were eating before had repeated not been in stock at my local pet store so I decided to try out a new food for them. I have 2 cats, one is a garbage can and will eat Anything. Right now! The other is exactly opposite! I feed mostly canned cat food, but when I do feed dry, this is the only one she’ll eat! So it must be good! 👌🐱

Love the ingredients in this food. I love Open Farm food. All the ingredients are traceable. I feed this to my cats. One of them has a urinary tract problem and he does fine on it. He eats 1/3 of a cup each day, along with wet food in the evening and plenty of water, and he hasn’t had a problem.

My cat, Lily, eats a lot though she is not fat, just big and active. I wanted to introduce a dry food to save us from having to continually fill up her dish throughout the day. I bought this for the high quality ingredients hoping she would like it as she has only had wet food for her 4 years of life. Holy smokes! You would think this was "cat candy". We have to keep it from her until the wet food is gone or she will only eat this food. I don't think it is good to only give our animals "kibble" or any diet of one thing only. Plus it sucks all the moisture out of her body as she is now drinking a lot more (cats get a lot of the moisture they need from their food usually). Anyway. This was a huge hit with her and as long as we make sure to rotate the choices it's working out as planned. I will continue to buy this for her. Otherwise she may try to kill us when we sleep. :-P ... show more

I did a ton of research, and this food got an A- on unbiased cat reviews for quality ingredients, origin or ingredients, species appropriate ingredients. Love this stuff! My cats love it, they adjusted to it eaisly and they've been on it now for over a year. Their coats are shiny, moist, and my one with dandruff has less flakes! (they eat this along with 1/2 of a different brand of wet food) I add a little water to mine, for the mositure and beause one of my kitties has teeth issues, but they seem to love that and drink the water like a broth! My only complaint would be that the 4oz back is full of air. It's a little pricey, but also that smaller optional is affordable for me and I will pay for the quality. Just maybe ya'll can adjust your packaging to be less wasteful? Thank you for making such wonderful food accessible! ... show more

Sustainable and great product, but the pricing? How is this business trying to make good pet food accessible for everyone if the costs are ridiculous? 2 lbs for $15 keep that in mind. My cat deserves to eat good too.
