Made my dogs smell like maple syup

My dogs did well with this as a topper and they genuinely loved it, but it made them smell so strongly of maple syrup and I seriously hated it. Not just their breath or their face, the maple smell permeated from them from head to toe, it was bad. I can see why some people wouldn’t mind this but I am
real big on smells and have never been a fan of maple scent. Maybe I’ll repurchase this fall for a seasonal air freshener

Great ingredients and my dogs love this food!

I have a Pomeranian and border Collie, I added this dog food, to elevate the less expensive kibble. I just crush it up and add it to my dogs kibbles they absolutely love this!

Open Farm has been a surprising, sensitive-tummy miracle.

As an obsessed parent of a sensitive Yorkie with irritable bowel, it's been a years-long road of research and experimentation to find food that provides high-quality nutrition AND works with her tricky system. n expensive subscription fresh food--we've given it all a chance. On a whim a few months ago, I tried Open Farm. I very carefully and gradually introduced their Small Breed with Ancient Grains kibble, and miraculously, there was zero digestive fallout in our house. In fact, both my Yorkies (even my picky one) LOVED this dry food right away, and in just a few weeks I began noticing impressive changes in both my dogs' energy levels, coat shine, and eye boogering (less). Feeling expansive, I then tried adding a little of these Open Farm freeze-dried raw patties to their meals as well, and surprisingly, my Yorkie's sensitive tummy is still holding and thriving! Both my dogs go CRAZY for these patties crumbled over their food (either dry or rehydrated), and I love the extra nutritional boost and variety it provides. Stools have stayed 100% firm and regular, and my sensitive pup has had zero colitis flareups since transitioning to Open Farm products months ago. And my experiences with the company's customer service have been nothing but helpful, responsive, and positive too. Did we finally find our sensitive tummy miracle? We'll see. But so far Open Farm has been a WONDERFUL and lasting surprise.

Even Hydrated with Water these are DANGEROUSLY DRY

Thought these would be a good idea since I use the open farm kibble. Wrong. Made all my dogs throw up. This is the only new product introduced to their diet. Stop using and then gave it another shot. Made my puppy throw up excessively. It was very scary seeing my pup like that. Vet said he’s okay hea
lth wise this is they only thing that could have caused him to vomit this much.This is too dry even when soaked in water. Please just buy actual meat. It might also be cause of product handling from Amazon bc my kibble bag from open farm I just repurchased looks oddly darker than purchasing from open farm website. TREAD CAREFULLY.

Got my dog interested in food again, but instructions could be better

HOW TO PREPARE The worst part about this product is the instructions. They are terrible. So here's how I make my dog's meal: - I put a patty in his bowl and add about 2 tablespoons of hot water. I let that sit for 5 minutes - Next, I take a fork and mash the patty up into little pieces, until it look
s like typical wet dog or cat food. - Finally, I add a little less than his normal serving of kibble, stir, and serve. My dog is 15 pounds, and I feed him one raw patty and half his normal kibble, twice a day. SAFETY Remember: This is a RAW product! This should be called out better on the packaging, but you should wash your hands AND your dog's bowl after each usage. I didn't realize this until after using the product for several weeks, and then I finally saw and read the fine print on the back. Be careful! REVIEW My dog is a picky eater. His normal food is a salmon kibble, which he did well on for over a year, until suddenly he wasn't interested anymore. I'd have to con him into eating or make a game out of eating. The cats were stealing his food while he pouted nearby. It was very frustrating! Then, I found these freeze-dried patties (chicken flavor), and everything changed. Suddenly, my dog was SO excited to eat, from the first moment I opened the bag. They are very fragrant -- to dogs, at least. They don't smell like anything to me. It's great to see my dog be interested in eating again. I'm not a raw-diet enthusiast by any means, but I feel good about adding this to my dog's food (versus canned add-ons or juices). His poops still look nice and healthy, and we haven't had any upset-stomach moments since starting on this new diet. I'm very pleased and will definitely be purchasing this product again!

Amazing addition to meals

We recently transitioned to a more holistic food for our dogs, raw, cooked etc... so could not wait to try these to add some to the meal mix we use. I gave them some as a pre meal salad the first night rehydrated with some goats milk, they loved them. We have since added a few to their meals here and
there and given them some just in the middle of the day to help them as we are still trying to balance out how much food they need to eat. My little one, corgi mix, had his gone before my 100 lb, gsd mix. But they all licked their bowls clean and every time we give them some they have inhaled them. They sit by my side and wait the 5 minutes I let them rehydrate. That would be my only negative about them, is the instructions are not the best. Knowing the dehydrated foods need to rehydrate. The bag does not indicate how long they should sit for, so I give the same time that I do our other mixes and about 5 minutes. Also, trying to find how much water to add was difficult and you really have read over the bag and do a lot of calculations to figure it out. I would still recommend these to anyone looking to add to their pups diet. Even if you are not doing a full holistic diet these make great toppers to mix in and give your pup some added benefits they maybe missing.

Our little Terrier mix loves these things, however I wish they had better instructions on how to prepare them. Instead of saying 2 parts of this to 3 parts of this, there should be a measurement of water to use per patty. We had to wing it to the best of our ability, and our pup does eat them up quic
kly. So the flavor is good, and the ingredients are on par. Still, the manufacturer should really work on the preparation instructions.
