This was a good balance of function and price (I didn't want to be too sad if I lost it at an event). I never ran around with it upside down or horizontal in a bag so I can't say whether it would leak in those circumstances. But it was lightweight and the carrying "hook" was ergonomically friendly and it did have a "clasp" / lock on the drinking opening part that worked well. My only quibble is it was missing a small air hold somewhere near the drinking spout so air could enter to fill the vacuum otherwise created as one drinks from the vessel. I needed something bigger but not too big for hiking. I normally use little kids bottles that are 16oz but it’s not enough water. I have huge bottles that don’t fit in my backpack. This one is 20oz filled to the top and is skinny so fits well. Hand wash only which is a bummer but that’s ok.

These water bottles work great and come in a nice assortment of colors. We took ours on a trip recently and filled them at the water station in the airport easily and quickly. They never leaked and the opening makes it easy to drink from the bottle without spilling anything on you. I like these better than the ones with straws. A lot of airports do not sell bottle water anymore after you check through TSA. I bought this bottle so I could use the water stations while waiting for my international flight and to be able to take water on the plane. I bought the 20 oz in the dark blue. It’s the perfect size to carry and I love the flip top. The only dislike I have is that is does build up condensation on the outside of the bottle when full. I was so disappointed with my last water bottle that leaked in the carry-on bag on the plane! So I was desperate to find a good bottle. Then my friend recommended one like hers, which was very similar to this brand. She looked on Amazon and found this brand and recommended I try it. I did (it came in two days), and I filled it with water and turned it upside down, shaking it. No leaking! The lock on it is simple yet ingenious.
