My husband is a UPS driver, so he's constantly complaining about having to deliver these heavy mattress-in-a-box things. I always thought what he was delivering were just memory foam mattresses. I never imagined that a mattress with coils in the base could be shipped like this, but they can! You can see from the pictures, the mattress fits in a box about my height (5'4"). It's FREAKING HEAVY. Do NOT attempt to move this yourself unless you are a power lifter or professional box mover :D I just about killed myself trying to get it up my steps alone. To my utter amazement, after cutting away the plastic and letting the mattress escape it's confines, there was a coil & foam mattress that popped out! 24 hours after opening, there was a 12 inch deep mattress with a pillow top that was much, much better than the 18 year old one that we had in the spare bedroom. It's a medium-firm mattress, so if you have back issues and need a plusher mattress, you may want to add a topper - along with sheet straps because a topper will make it too tall for even deep pocket sheets. Overall, I was astounded that this really comfortable full size mattress could be stuffed in a box & show up on my doorstep, but it did!

I ordered this for my 14-year-old daughter because her mattress was a little on the worn outside. The mattress is more firm than most, but she has no issue with that. If you are someone who sleeps on a soft mattress, this might feel like a Triscuit cracker to you. We added a foam mattress topper just to add a bit of squish and it is perfect. The size is great for a teenager and the mattress was easy to set up. It came tightly rolled, so I would recommend giving it a day to kind of reach its full potential before use. But, quality is good for the price range and it’s an excellent choice if you’ve got a teenager that needs a bed for 13 years. Not sure would last you 10 or 20 years but it’s definitely something that gets the job done if you’ve got a young back. Not great for a side sleepers as it might cause hip pain because of the firmness.

I like how this is packaged. The size made it easy to bring upstairs (with help) and undo. Expanded in about 24 hours and was ready to use. Feels very conventional mattress so don't expect spongelike memory foam. I'd say between soft and firm this is strongly in the middle and feels good to me. There's nice bounce in it. Very comfy. Slept great since I got it and periodically think about how nice it'd be to lay down on it when I work during the day. It's a bit too think to keep the fitted sheet on. because of the slick top it's easy to shipt the fitted sheet getting on and off, which might just be my sheets. Had a minimal odor that faded quickly after unpacking and I have few issues with this. It's not perfect but if you need a mattress at this price range and want something more substantial than pure memory foam, this offers a nice package.

It's true, good things can come in small packages. The mattress came in vacuum packaging, and i was very skeptical as to it's ability to become full sized, however after unpacking and letting it sit overnight...I was pleasantly surprised! I have slept on it for several nights now and I can honestly say that it is most supportive and comfortable, making a good nights sleep priceless.

- COMFY. This is SO comfortable. It's right in the middle of soft and firm. I feel cradled when I lay on it, lol. - The directions say to give it at least 24 hours to puff up, but in our experience it puffed up well before then! We still gave it a full day, though. - Unpacking this is SUPER FUN. It's a great time! - The smell isn't overwhelming like it very often is. In fact, I couldn't really smell it unless I shoved my face against it. - You will need a fitted sheet that has DEEP pockets, not a normal fitted sheet.

This combination mattress is so far the perfect spareroom mattress. It was straightforward to set up although heavy. I love that it includes the side straps for when you have to move the mattress around. As for comfort, I'm thrilled with the memory/Gel foam. I don't feel the pocketed springs and my wife didn't feel me moving around when I was adjusting and turning from side to side.
