These elastic cords were perfect for my use. I had some costume hats that needed elastic to hold them on. These were perfect for each girl that used them. They were extremely easy to adhere to the hat by using box cutter to make a small slit in each side and the inserting the ends of the elastic. The elastic was comfortable and stretchy but remained taut, the metal ends did not bend but remains strong after taking in and off the hat many times. We did have the girls cover the white elastic in a foundation that matched their skin as they were using these for a stage performance... perfect! Oh and did I mention these are a great value and did not cut into our costume budget very much at all! Will definitely be purchasing these again in the future ... show more

Would work for babies, but then how would giving babies string be safe? I bought these for a preschool craft making cone birthday hats. It fit maybe 1-2 of the smallest kids in the class, but the rest of the 3-4 year olds were way too big for it. My sample size included 10 kids. Would be good for dolls/stuffed animals, or perhaps a different shaped hat? ... show more
