I played the violin in high school and wanted to start up again. The violin I had in high school was stolen. Follow the instructions when putting the violin together. It's important to pay attention to the direction the bridge is facing. I had to start over because I didn't and I had to start over. I rated the violin 4 because so far, I am having a problem with the pegs slipping and not staying in tune. I am hoping the more I play it the better it stays in tune. ... show more

I like this starter violin set. I am a newbie to violin, but have been playing Mandolin for many years and just wanted to try see if I can get the hang of violin, Without investing a lot of money. I think set is great for someone starting out. It includes every thing you Will need , except instructions on how to play, set up, tune etc. I went to YouTube and founds some good video in that.. It come with two bows, not sure why you need two?, but I guess when one wears out, you got a spare. Electronic tuner is must for me, this one that comes with it is small and works well, You also get rosin, shoulder holder, a case, plus spare strings, I needed that right off the bat as one of mine broke while I was trying to tune.. This is a gorgeous violin. It comes with almost everything you need to get started. Like others have mentioned there are no instructions on how to tune or play it or keep it maintained, so you will need to find guidance elsewhere.
