Description

The On-Stage AS400V2 Dynamic Handheld Mic is an excellent choice for miking and amplifying vocal performances including singing and speech in performance venues, schools, conference centers, and houses of worship. It comes with everything you need to mount it on a mic stand and plug it into an amplification system, including a 20-foot XLR cable and a mic clip. This vocal microphone’s sturdy yet lightweight body is contoured for comfortable holding, enabling you to move freely while ensuring your voice is heard. It’s also a perfect fit for most clothespin-style, rubber, or plastic dynamic mic clips, making it easy to place on a mic stand for stationary use or storage. Its hypercardioid polar pattern helps focus the mic where it’s pointed, reducing feedback and off-axis noise to produce clear sound. With a dynamic range of 50 Hz to 15 kHz, this mic is especially well suited to live performances such as concerts, public-speaking events, open mics, karaoke nights, and conferences. For compatibility with a wide range of public-address (PA) systems and mixers, the mic features a standard wired XLR output connector for use with the included cable or your cable of choice. For ease of muting the audio when the mic is not in use, there is a convenient On/Off switch located directly on the mic body. Constructed from metal mesh, the mic’s grille helps block out wind and breath noise and also safeguards against damage to the capsule from moisture, dust, drops, and falls. The mic’s body is also metal to protect internal components and ensure reliable, long-lasting performance. Durably finished in classic black, the mic looks great, resists chips and scratches, and blends into your setup to add to a professional presentation. For ease of transportation, this lightweight mic comes with a protective soft case with a zipper closure.

  • Solid Dependable Keyboard Stand
I read many reviews before purchasing this, and was mostly concerned with negative reviews. I write this to help with clarification. First, this stand DOES lower to the standard piano height while seated. I use a Korg Kronos and it sits right next to a grand piano at the exact playing level. The quality of build and welds on my product is outstanding and there is no sway, movement, or vibration while using it. Some reviews indicate it is not for gigging because of the set-up time and tear down. It does take a couple of trial runs to learn how it assembles and tears down efficiently, but after I completed that practice, I can collapse the stand in under 3 min. Set up is about 5min. The second tier width is dependent on the lower tier, so shorter keyboards on the top deck will require an 88 key controller on the bottom to be set a bit more narrow, but it is still entirely robust and plenty of leg room. Reviews indicating balance problems with the second tier is going to depend on the keyboards you use. This stand is designed for weighted action keyboards to be on the bottom, which creates a more solid base. Placing a heavy synth on the upper tier and having only a synth action ABS plastic keyboard on the bottom could make it easily falter in balance, so the buyer needs to know this will fair better with Heavy keyboards on the bottom. Very easy to remove the top tier, and when using the second tier, it is very solid and adjusts with acceptable angles to be able to perform at numerous heights. I am very happy with the product. It shipped in great condition, plenty of attention to pieces not being damaged in packaging, and aside from a couple of screws that needed more force to break through the paint on initial setup, there are no threads that are off, no misaligned parts or un-level feet. I am a career musician with decades of experience. I own an X style stand for light keys, Ultimate Apex style for synths, and now this one for the weighted action beasts. Each has a purpose so the buyer MUST know what this was designed for, and once you match it up with the right gear, it will go the distance. ... show more

  • Heavy duty and good value for money
Solid, heavy duty and stable. Nice range of adjustment for everything. The design of the upper tier is much better than most other keyboard stands, like X stands. This is good if you use large and heavy synthesizers.

  • Multi-tiered Keyboard Stand
Bought this about 18 months ago and have been using it regularly. Last year my band played 48 shows. This not only survived, it thrived. I have 2 Alesis Keyboards, one that is 88 weighted keys, and the other 64 non-weighted keys. They both fit on this stand without any problems. Pros: This stand doesn't rock, shift, or feel unstable when I do glissando's or really get into the rock'n'roll style pounding. Even when it's on an uneven surface it's still very stable. There is plenty of leg room underneath for pedals (I've never hit my legs on the crossbars, even when searching for a stray pedal). Height Adjustable - this is great because I can play sitting down or standing up. Takes about 1 minute to adjust 1st tier height. The second tier's adjustment (height and angle) is really helpful. Everybody's style is different, and I've had friends be able to play both tiers without much time adjusting things. Compact - Sometimes I'll just collapse the crossbars and lower everything without taking anything apart. While it takes up room, it's fairly easy to maneuver and stack equipment around it. When I take it apart (down to the 2 crossbars and the 2 side Z's) it'll fit anywhere I need to put it. Cons: Sometimes assembling it can be difficult. Usually we play in bars where it's dark, so it can be difficult to see all of the holes. Also some of the parts don't line up perfectly (maybe off by 1/4 inch). A very little effort though will align things. Usually I don't take it completely apart so this isn't a huge problem for me. Anytime I'm assembling it where it's light I don't have any issues either. 1st tier view - I've heard some of my friends say the 1st tier keyboard display gets covered by the 2nd tier keyboard. Maybe it's happened to me, but I haven't really noticed. I usually don't want to change sounds in the middle of a song (that's what the 2nd keyboard is for). Neutral: Weight - This is somewhat heavy for a keyboard stand, definitely heavier than the X-style stands. Compared to my keyboards, this stand is much lighter. The nice thing about it being heavy is that it is more stable. Since I only carry it around at the beginning and the end of the night, I'd rather have stability for the 4 hours of playing than a little less weight for 10 minutes of schlepping. Overall: Having used this keyboard for coming up on 2 years, I can recommend this to anyone considering a 2-tier keyboard stand. This has served me well. While I'm performing I can focus on playing and singing without worrying about my keyboard stand falling over. ... show more

  • Clunky, but sturdy.
The stand is incredibly stable, even on the top tier. I'm pretty sure every aspect of the stand is adjustable (with limits of course). If you have an incredibly heavy keyboard (50lb+) this stand will easily handle it (the top tier should as well-no promises). There are drawbacks to such stability though...The stand is a tad confusing to set up, but i got it ready in under 25 min. As a guess, I think the stand itself weighs 40lbs- this becomes annoying with its portability issues. Carrying the stand as is is easy, but don't expect it to fit in the backseat/trunk of your car without some disassembly. I finally found a relatively quick way (under 2 min.) to make the stand compact and somewhat easy to carry- eMail me at [email protected] if you have questions about that-. Otherwise, the stand is quite difficult to transport. Overall, the stand offers amazing stability for such a small price. Even considering its major drawbacks of portability, I would still definitely recommend this stand to anyone who wants a reliable two-tier stand for a small price. ... show more

  • the stand is very sturdy and I have never had any concerns about the ...
I've had this stand for a year now and have been using it in my home office to hold two 61-key keyboards. I have moved it around a little bit but not enough to evaluate durability for someone who's going to travel a lot with it. That said, the stand is very sturdy and I have never had any concerns about the keyboards falling or the stand collapsing. I also really like the adjustment mechanism for the height/tilt of the second tier. Prior to purchasing this stand I bought a different model from a different manufacturer; on that one the width of the top tier was adjusted independently of the bottom tier but it did so by tilting the arms in toward the middle. When this was combined with the tilt functionality the result was strange angles that never felt quite right. The downside of this stand's design is that it wouldn't do so well with two keyboards/synths that are drastically different widths (unless you put a board across the arms and set the instruments on the board). Overall, though, I'm very happy with the build quality and performance of this two-tier stand. ... show more

  • It's a strong, sturdy, solid, stable stand!
I'm thrilled with how well this stand has met my very specific needs. Due to disability, I have to sit down when I play but, unfortunately, my old 2-tier X-stand holds my upper keyboard so high above the lower one that it blocks my view of the audience (even though I'm by no means short, at 6'1). Thankfully, this Z-style stand has fantastic vertical adjustability and I'm able to set it so that my upper keyboard sits just an inch or two above the lower one. Eye contact is important when you're performing on stage, and with this stand I can finally see over the top of my gear again. With both of my keyboards in place, this stand is truly solid as a rock. Unlike my X-stand, there's hardly any rocking motion when I'm playing with this stand (and I play very passionately). Out of the box, putting it together was only mildly troublesome. It's just a question of figuring out which piece is which, and which easy-turn knob fits in which hole, etc. Nothing too complex, but certainly a bit more involved than assembling a typical X-stand. However, once the initial set-up is complete, the Z-stand really shines...it's very simple to adjust the height, width, and 2nd-tier angle to match your personal preference. The versatility of this stand is remarkable! For transportation, it's obviously not as quick and easy as closing up an X-stand, but if you disconnect the two crossbars, you instantly have four separate pieces that can lie down flat. Remove the upper tier arms, and the footprint shrinks even further. You probably wouldn't need to do this all the time, but if you were to completely dismantle the stand, you could carry the entire thing in an average sized sports bag. It's well designed in that respect. It's more expensive than the traditional X-stands of course, but I think it's well worth the investment for the additional stability and versatility it provides. All in all, I LOVE THIS STAND! I've bought four or five different keyboard stands over the years, but I would buy this one again in a heartbeat. It's my new favorite. ************* FYI, I also bought an On Stage KSA7575 Universal Keyboard Stand Microphone Attachment Bar, so that I can mount a microphone boom directly onto the rear of the stand. I'm happy to report that the round attachment fits perfectly and securely into the square tubing of this stand. In addition, I also ordered an On Stage QK2B Microphone Clip Quick Release so that I can remove the boom arm with just a quick push of a button, rather than having to rotate the whole thing around and around. It works like a charm! That's it! I hope you find this review helpful. Happy shopping! ... show more

  • A really nice box of fail
Built the stand. So far I'm impressed. Spent some time shifting things around, adjusting the ergonomics of my space. Suddenly I noticed, 2 of the 4 rubber feet have separated themselves from the stand. The Stand is now wobbling and gouging my floor. 10 cents worth of rubber should not be the Achilles heel for an item like this. ... show more

  • Awesome
I've gone thru several stands and this is by far the most sturdy I've ever had. I have a casio stage piano (px-150) on the bottom and an old casio cz-1 synth on top. The synth is a little heavy but ultra rock-steady on the top tier. BTW, some complain about this stand (and other similar multi tier stands) that the top shelf equipment covers the bottom tier equipment. The 2nd tier of this stand has no front/back adjustment so you might run into this problem. My stage piano is not very deep and I have it pulled towards the front of the lower tier and it works great but if you have a deep workstation with controls, lcd's, etc, this will probably be a problem for you Also, the top tier has no width adjustment, Some other manfacturere's stands have upper tier width adjustments but not this one. The top tier width can only track the lower tier width. I have a narrower synth that I may place on the top tier in the future but I'll need to do some rigging as the synth is too narrow for the top tier. All in all, the stand is still super nice. ... show more
