  • Half of an Excellent System for Getting The Best Images Through Your ‘Scope Using Your Cellphone
Size: Apple iPhone Color: Apple iPhone 13 Pro
This item was delivered the next day after being ordered. It was well packaged and in good shape – always a good sign that the company is making good product. This device is one half of a system for adapting cellphones to be able to take pictures through spotting scopes, monoculars and binoculars. The challenge for the company, I’m sure, is that there are a lot of different types of cellphones and also a lot of different types of spotting scopes, monoculars and binoculars so they simply cannot sell one system that works with all. It would also get extremely cumbersome to try to come up with combined systems for each possible combination of cellphone and scope. Yet some have given them flak for selling these pieces separately. And, yes, it is a bother but what else to do since the piece that goes on each device has to be specific to fit each specific device while the pieces that go to each need to be able to work with each other when they’re brought together. The bottom line is that if you want to be able to use your cellphone to take decent pictures through your spotting scope, monoculars or binoculars you’re going to need to be motivated and understand the challenges so that it ends up working properly. All that said, this company makes a very good product that does what is claimed for it. This review is for the piece that fits the Apple iphone 13 Pro. And that is the main thing, that IT FITS. And it does fit mine perfectly. Now it’s going to be able to dock properly with the adapter that goes on my binoculars and I suppose I will also mention that in the review of that piece. But, OK I’ll provide the spoiler now: IT DOES. And you get decent pix using this system. Some others have complained not only about the fact that the company sells the part for the cellphone and the part for the scope separately. Some have also complained about the cost. And maybe it is “too high.” But compared to what? The adapters for taking pix through ‘scopes using DSLR’s may be cheaper but the DSLR’s are not. This is a unique product that does what nothing else I know of can do. And it is the result of a challenging problem as described above. It likely would cost less if they made a “one size fits all” which would likely work as well as it does with clothes: it would not fit anyone well. It would probably cost more if the company had a toll-free number. As it is, you can contact them with your specific model of cellphone and ‘scope and be sure to get the right pieces – separately, I’m afraid – to begin with. The bottom line is that if you want the best possible pix through your ‘scope using your cellphone, you probably need this product. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Adapter sold separately!
Size: Apple iPhone Color: Apple iPhone 13
So don't be like me and not read the description carefully... when I order I assumed that this came with everything you need to get started. It does not. As such I'm not able to tell you how well it works or post any cool pictures zoomed in on eagles or sports figures or other exciting content. I can tell you the case is well made, fits nicely, is well packaged, and is relatively expensive as just a case. To buy the adapter is approximately three times (3x) more (using the case I ordered and current pricing) in addition to the price of the case (roughly $200 total after tax). That's a little outside of my cost justification range. But for the right application and requirements, this could be a solid option. I just can't afford to tell you how well it works. ... show more

  • Part of a very well designed system
Size: Samsung Galaxy Color: Samsung Galaxy S25
I'm frustrated reading the reviews needlessly denigrating this product because the reviewer did zero research before acquiring it. Yes, it doesn't come with the adapter that fits on the optic. But that's because 1) this is part of a system that has adapters for both binos and spotter scopes and 2) binos and scopes come in different sizes and need different sized adapters. Packaging a specific phone case and a specific optic adapter together would mean literally hundreds of different product variations to chose from. That's immensely impractical. Anyway, this phone case isn't for daily use, but rather for in the field, forest, etc. along with your scope or binos. The system works great: It snaps into place from rest to connected and perfectly aligned on your binoculars in a couple seconds. The magnetic hold is quite strong. Movement, handling, and casual bumps will not separate them. The case itself is tough enough to protect your phone from mishandling. It also has a raised edge to help protect the screen (although I would suggest also using screen protector). Putting your phone in and taking it out again is pretty straightforward. It doesn't appear that repeated removal of the phone is causing any wear to the case, which is important since it will be taken off and put back on many more times than is typical for a phone case. The fit is perfect on the Samsung Galaxy S25. Four stars instead of five because, yes, the overall system is very expensive. But if you're willing to pay, you get about the best rapid connect/disconnect phone-to-optic mounting system I have seen so far. ... show more
