I'm going to assume it's user error and I bought the wrong size. It's the size of just a normal entry rug. It's cute but definitely not as cute and high quality as it looks in the picture. Its durable but not super thick, more so the consistency of a bath rug.

The mat holds up well even after washing it. The thickness and cushion doesn't seem to diminish with washing. The only downside is it is somewhat lighter weight than I would wish given its size so it slides a bit easier, especially on carpet. The non-slip function of that mat works well on hard wood floors. To fix this problem on carpet I have found that tacking it down works best. In regards to its ability to absorb liquids, it works well for this however on very rainy days it doesn't wick moisture away as fast as I would like. It does absorb the liquid given time. We used this rug as an entry way mat and it keeps the moisture out of the house on most days.
