I have put a lot of artificial grass into my landscaping over the years and have used a variety of landscape spikes to secure it. These are the best I have ever used. They are long and strong, and at the price, also an excellent price. I highly recommend them.

Used these to secure hardware cloth along a fence line when my neighbor changed my wood fence out for a metal one. I had attached metal to mine in order to prevent my dogs from digging. That could not work with a metal fence (nothing to attach it to without damaging the new fence.) These are sturdy - though a couple bent when, presumably, they hit a tree root or buried rock. We have sandy soil, so they served the purpose. I would not recommend this length for more compact soil since it is more likely to encounter more resistance which cannot be overcome with what is essentially an industrial strength staple.

Used these to secure weed cloth in loose soil. They work great. The 6 inch staples were too short so needed something longer. They did bend/distort easily if they hit a rock or hard pan so would not recommend them if your ground has hard clay in it

I have had a stockade fence on two sides of my backyard with no animal digging since I have lived here. My neighbor had a rusted chain link fence on the remaining side with huge gaps at the bottom. With her permission, I had her fence removed and a stockade fence installed. Now there is evidence of digging under my fence to and from her yard. These spikes seem to have resolved the problem. However, it did take some effort. The ground is so hard in my yard that I couldn't even hammer them in. I had to dig down about a foot, then put the spikes in, then added some stones as extra measure, followed by replacing dirt. This morning I noticed something had started to dig under the fence during the night, but stopped and didn't get through. My hope is that whatever it is will just give up and stop trying. It took about 32 spikes to complete one section of the stockade fence. I purchased 100 spikes and may not even need to complete all the sections on that one side ( there remains no evidence of digging on my other fences on the two sides). I absolutely recommend the 12 inch spikes if you are using for this purpose. If I had to use them on my whole yard I wouldn't recommend them as it would be way too much work (that is only because my ground is so hard). If you have dirt that you can simply hammer them it that would take time but be easy. For this problem area, it seems to work and has been worth the effort. This was a lot of detail but I hope it will help someone decide if it is or isn't an option for this purpose.

This is my second order in 2 years for the OK5STAR garden stakes. Used up my first 150 last year and they're still holding weed barrier in place. VERY STURDY! Used rubber mallet to get them right down to the ground. OK5STAR is the only company I will be buying my garden stakes from in the future. Thank you for a QUALITY PRODUCT!
