  • Good value
Style: 100 Colors
I was so excited to get these after watching many reviews. My first impression and swatching was good, but it does seem to have multiple markers with very similar colors. They all had very bright, pretty colors and all very smooth and some were extra juicy but glided on the paper well. Later the juicy markers just blobbed out ink when using them and were very messy. I still use them because I still enjoy them but the more I use them the more of them that just ooze ink and make a mess. I got them during prime day and still consider them a good value. They are not good for kids to use if an adult is also using them. I love the fine point on the brush tip but the need to be used carefully to maintain that point. After use by a 5 yo the tips are all frayed out. They do supply a couple extra nibs, probably for that reason. If used carefully, I don’t see that being an issue. I plan to buy another set for myself. ... show more

Can’t say enough about the Oahu series. I bought this set for smaller detailing. So many pretty and bright vibrant colors. Well worth the money

  • Love these markers! 10/10
Style: 160 Colors
Absolutely love these markers. Was hesitant at first because I was honestly using the wrong paper for these and I wanted to use them for a coloring book I bought. So be aware, they do bleed through on regular coloring book paper. Something thick like construction would be better but I also googled and searched reddit for a solution because I didn't want to waste this coloring book. The photos I took are from the same coloring book. As you can see the page with the more "forest" green theme on it has alot of smears and streaks from the makers. That's what I was worried about. As for the other page it's almost none and it looks so good in mg opinion. So I searched Google to see what I could find to help stop the marker bleeding. Wonderful people of reddit suggested this stuff called GESSO. It's basically an acrylic paint to that adds texture to a canvas to help paint and stuff stick but I read it's also good for coloring books with a thin layer added on and will help stop markers bleeding and wow it did wonders! Here's what I did: Things youll need: PAINT BRUSH, GESSO, (make sure it's TRANSPARENT If you still want to be able to see the outline of the coloring book), 5000 GRIT SANDPAPER and a blow dryer is optional if you want a faster dry. I dried this 50 page coloring within an hour an a half with my blow dryer. 1 - put a thin layer of the gesso on the first page of the coloring book. I'd suggest putting paper behind the page and something hard like a clip board so it don't soak through the page onto the next. 2 - Spread the gesso with the paint brush. Spread evenly across the entire page. 3 - blow dry with a hair dryer for a quicker dry. Or leave to air dry. 4 - sand the paper lighty to remove the leftover grit that the paint left and to smooth out the "canvas". Again this is technically used for painting on actual canvas but this worked amazingly. 5 - color and have fun! Hope this helps! ... show more

  • Decent, simple set of markers for basic usage
Style: 100 Colors
In my photos these are shown on the left, organized in my own order, compared to an Ohuhu alcohol ink set on the right. Overall a good value and will work for some purposes, I'm mainly using them for the fine liner tips, they could also be a good starter set for teens. Because of the issue with some colors being too similar and not having any light/dark variation among the colors I wouldn't say this is the greatest set. Pros: * Nice range of bright colors * Quality brush tip leaves good coverage when marking * Fine line tips work great * Absolutely no bleed-through on the thicker paper I tested, minimal on thin paper. Compared to alcohol ink I tested which bleeds through easily. * Good price for the set Cons: * Not a lot of value differences - in the black & white photo you can see there is not a lot of variation in lightness/darkness for these markers, compared to the Ohuhu alcohol ink set on the right which has a wide range in each color family. The fact that the colors are all very bright and saturated means they can't really provide a muted or pastel color palette. * Many colors are extremely similar to each other, and the numbering scheme (1-100) makes no sense to me as they seem to be in a random order. * Definitely tears up paper, but that's a limitation of water-based ink not a flaw in the specific product. This does make it harder to blend than alcohol ink. I tried blending a few different ways and found stippling was the most successful way, although it doesn't result in a smooth texture. * The printed swatch card doesn't look anything like the actual colors, but thankfully they do include a blank swatch card. ... show more

  • Hit or Miss
Style: 160 Colors
I’ve been using these markers for about a month now, and I can say that some of them are really great (pigmented, smooth, inky for lack of a better term) but many of them were dry, light on ink, and had fraying tips from the beginning of use. They are obviously very affordable, but I’m not entirely happy with the quality. Finally, I did test out replacing two of the nibs, and those two markers were never the same. They didn’t get saturated in ink and I ultimately had to throw them away, so that’s disappointing. I would say these are a risky purchase because they can either be really good or really bad, and you’ll likely end up with both types of markers in any batch. ... show more

  • Water based but still great
Style: 100 Colors
I ordered these on accident because I thought they were the viral alcohol markers but these are water based. That being said they are still great markers but they do not blend like the other Ohuhu markers that are alcohol based. They all had lots of ink, feel strudy, and work well. They are easy to you, they will bleed through regular paper but not card stock. Still good to have but make sure you want them because these are water-based. ... show more
