  • The best DTF CISS on the market, bar none. Worth every penny.
This thing is perfect. You can move around the hoses as needed and connect where needed. This is ALL YOU NEED to convert a printer to DTF. The mixer has a built-in battery so it'll keep on mixing even if you're moving the printer or whatever (don't do that too much lol). I've experienced no issues with this whatsoever. For what it's worth, it's not a 'warm gray' as the description states; it's actually more of an 80's style beige, but who really cares when it works this well (and looks as good as it does - I think it's the best on the market). The lid is magnetic, which is probably not entirely necessary but does really help keep the lid from falling off (and a snap-on lid would be a pain.) Installation takes a while. They DO have a really good video hidden in the description above that you can scroll up and watch; watch it carefully so you don't crack the plastic on your printer. The video covers things like waste tank connection etc. It does NOT explain however what else you need to do to prep your printer for DTF (mainly removing the roller and the output tray, because they'll smear the DTF ink); there are a lot of videos about that on youtube. You'll probably also want to figure out some way to catch the paper since the output tray isn't installed anymore. You'll also need to buy a waste tank chip reset because you're not using the waste tank anymore (you have an extra, ugly bottle, but it does work very well. I guess you could always NOT use that, but be warned that you'll probably overfill your in-printer waste tank pretty fast.) The resetter I got was here on Amazon, "C9345 Maintenance Box Chip Resetter EPN C-9345 Tank Compatible for Pro ET-5800 5850 5880 8500 8550 L15150 15158 15160 15168 16600 16650 Printers", amazon.com/dp/B0DG2CTVST - from "KSUMEI". That also doesn't have much in the way of instructions, so here goes: (carefully) line up the pins and hold it in place on the waste tank; the light will illuminate and blink red, and then go solid green when it's reset. You really cannot use the printer for ANYTHING else ever again once converting to DTF. I loved the printer so much that I bought another for regular Ink output (put a label on each to tell them apart) and I'm seriously considering buying another for dye-sub. And, even though all of the good RIP software runs in awful Windows (but fine in a VM), TurboPrint might be coming out with a RIP software for Linux next year, and I also set up (from within Linux) a cron job to print a test page out on regular paper every three days for all of my inkjets so that the ink heads don't get clogged. (It doesn't matter that it's not properly set up and you get white instead of black or anything like that - it's totally ok, as long as all colors get printed.) Summing up, awesome device. The best DTF CISS on the market, bar none. Worth every penny. Keeps my piece of mind and will keep this as a useful printer for many years to come. Now I just need to find something similar for dye-sub and my regular inkjet! ... show more

  • NO good
looks great, but the title is false advertisement. This does not "CIRCULATE" the white ink. It agitates the ink in the small tank and even causes bubbles. Had to constantly be clearing out the lines since white ink clogged. Needs a ton of work. Item was returned.

  • good!
This is awesome if you're DTF printer does not have enough ink for you. This is great because it adds in ink as the other one runs out and it keeps it mixing so I would definitely recommend this if your printer doesn't hold enough ink.

  • Perhaps the best in the market
Awesome CISS for a low price. Better than anything I've seen in the market. Nice chassis, easy to setup. Their technical support team answered my question within a day. One tip, you don't need to elevate this higher than the printer. Keep it level as your printer, pick power-clean to have the printer suck up the ink; initially. The ET-8550 have dampeners so don't need to elevate the unit. This thing stirs the white ink every 10 seconds 24/7 so you don't need to worry about it clogging. One thing that needs to be improved is to move the white tanks from the center; because I had redo the sequence of the line, making the line messy where it connects to the nozzles. ... show more

  • Needs work. A lot of work
Ink clogs in tubes. A for effort on the design but F for functionality. Def needs some work to be done before they should be selling this. Had to revert my ET-8550 back to original setup for DTF
