We're opening a small store to offer custom coatings on metallic objects that emit fast moving copper coated lead projectiles. I was looking for something that could serve as a front counter to greet customers, and also serve as an area for our POS register system. I didn't want to use a conventional desk and have to have people bending over, but I also didn't want a bar height counter that caused me to have to stand all day or use an elevated seat. This desk allows me to have the best of both worlds. I can raise or lower the unit depending on which situation I find myself, and do it quickly, and quietly. I only have to build a small surround for the front of it that shields the underside of the desk from the customers perspective. There's more than enough room to facilitate my register, POS, and my lap top, while still having enough room to work with my customer about their needs. The unit assembled fairly easily...especially for anyone with any kind of mechanical skills. The finish is excellent and all of the components work together smoothly and the adjustments are silky smooth. I might have to order a second one to balance out the front of the shop...it will be money well spent. ... show more

    • Difficult assembly process

This desk was very difficult to assemble! The instructions were pretty detailed but the images didn’t really line up to the steps. They included some extra hardware for the assembly which was nice. I do like the surface of the desk since it it easy to wipe down and it’s also pretty water resistant. You don’t need to use a coaster on it with a beverage.
