  • Working perfectly!
Upgraded to this model from my older 3d printer. The larger print bed and QOL improvements have been a game changer! Upkeep has been easy so far, and my print quality is much higher than my previous printer (an Prussa I-3). Highly recommend this printer if you're a beginner at 3D printing!

  • Sent multiple defective units
Had two negative experiences with this model. The first models nozzle was installed incorrectly and broke off when i tried to fix it. It also had issues with adhesion to the plate. The 2nd model I noticed took a much longer time than the first machine did to reach it's heating threshold to melt the PLA to print but I wasnt concerned at first. After 2 test prints (bunny/boat) I ran my first actual long task. the print got about 40 hours completed of the 48 before I received an error code stating the nozzle temp was too low. As someone who spent many years working in a warehouse, I know there are certain things we did to mark products as dmg'd or defective. Both boxes sent had distinct red X's marked on them. I have seen plenty of reviews of this product that to me show that the product isn't NORMALLY going to be this much trouble to maintain. Especially since a lot of those reviewers create prints constantly. I feel like I have yet to experience a truly new version of this product...I might try to get it one last time with the expectation that I want a unit that hasnt be refurbed or used prior. But i dont think Amazon can promise that. ... show more

  • Quiet, and the slicer works on Linux
This thing is very quiet. I've had 5 printers and this one is way quieter than all the rest. No whiny stepper noise! There's discussion online about the lack of slicer in Linux. Ignore that and don't worry. Official "Creality Print" version 4.3.7 for Linux is available from Creality on crealitycloud dot com. Just Google creality print linux and it's the first result. It printed the test bunny very nicely. Leveling is easy. Easy assembly. Creality has improved the quality of their printers. It can do 0.1 mm layers for sure. Maybe 0.05 ... show more

  • Thermal runway defective
Printer works great when it works. But the thermal runway would stay hot. We trouble shoot it and tried to contact manufacturer with no response. Just would not hold its temp and would stop printer and then it would ruin the whole print.

  • Works great
This is my first printer and it’s been awesome. I’ve ran it pretty much nonstop since I got it. I’m on my 3rd mando helmet and they have all came out great in single prints. The only time I’ve had issues is if I don’t auto bed level it before each print. Since I’ve started doing that I haven’t had a single print fail. I also only run it at a max of 80 on the speed. On mine if you go above that you start to see the quality suffer. ... show more

  • Decent step up from 5 years ago.
I've owned my Ender 3 Max Neo for about 3 months now which I purchased directly from Creality. Compared to printers in the same price range from 5 years ago it is significantly more reliable and requires less maintenance. The hardest part was figuring out how the bed leveling adjustments worked and since then I've only had to make adjustments if switching filament material or after relocating the printer. Unfortunately the filament runout sensor is in my opinion useless. The sensor is basically a switch inside of a rectangular box with way to guide the filament through it. As a result, the filament is difficult to change once it has ran out without removing the sensor itself. Trying to back out the filament using the extrusion motor never works because the filament gets stuck inside the sensor itself which requires it to be removed to fix. There is also insufficient space between the sensor and the extruder to grab the filament with anything to remove it which also requires removing the sensor. I could probably make it usable by installing a brass tube with a notch in the side for the switch so that the filament can be removed using the extruder motor however there are other printers on the market in this price range that already handle this much better. The cooling fan is also quite loud and not of good quality, mine failed after 3 months. I feel the Bamboo A1 is far better printer for the price and the only advantage this printer has over the A1 is the larger build area. ... show more

  • Very Happy!
couldn't be happier! replaced an older Creality printer that cost twice as much as this one. Out performs old one easily and worked out of the box. already have printed over 350 meters of PLA. gave 4 stars for print quality because it could always be better. But is good enough for a beginning low cost 3D printer ... show more

  • Worked for only 2 months
Got it on November 1st and immediately had problems with it. The nozzle fan wires ripped off. Bought a new fan to replace it. The bolts holding the frame on the top of the printer were defective. Finally fixed those problems and it was printing for 2 months. Then started getting nozzle jams and under extrusion. Replaced the nozzle and broke the very cheap heater block. Was looking for parts, Amazon doesn't have them, so had to order the complete hotend. Replaced the hotend and worked for one day and then completely stop working. The extruder motor is very weak and the gear looks stripped and I saw smoke coming from somewhere in the machine. I had enough, going to return it and ask for my money back! I've been 3d printing for over 6 years and this is the first printer I couldn't fix. This has very poor quality parts and creality tech support is no help. ... show more
