  • Excellent product to measure valve clearance
Excellent! Etching is easy to read. Came lightly oiled so no rust will form. This was replacing a 40 year old deformed set. So, it was great.

  • Not like other feeler gauges you've ever used
I've been working with feeler gauges at least 40 years (got my first car when I was 13). I know how to adjust valves and sparkplugs. You see videos, or read tutorials and they say "adjust until there is a slight drag." What is slight? How much drag? Then I heard someone mentioned "go,no go feeler gauges" and decided to try them. These feeler gauges feel very similar to others. Nothing extra. I'll assume they're calibrated correctly. However, where these are different is the tapered ends. They'll start at one measurement, and end with another. Ideally you'll want the measurement in the middle. For example: assuming you need .013" gap. You'll find the gauge marked .012/.014. If you can move the gauge to the .014 you're too big, if you can't even get it in the middle, you're too tight (and probably at .012). The only problem I see is not every number is between two adjustments. So while you can get .013 by using .012/.014, the next gauge is marked .014/.016. You'll need to use two different gauges if you're looking for .014. These are great to have if you work on engines ... show more

  • Just what I needed
These are nice, 2 mm stepped, pure metric feeler gauges. It's tough to find pure metric feeler gauges around here. No more converting from imperial measurements to metric.

  • Great for adjusting valve lash
Adjusted the valve lash on my 5.9 Cummins during an injector swap. These stepped feelers are so much better than trying to "feel" the same drag with normal feelers. The Cummins uses verry wiggly pads on the rocker arms which make the correct feel difficult. With these gauges it was a simple matter to make the correct adjustments. ... show more

  • These are NO GO gauges all right.. as in "No, they are going back"...
These feeler gauges are an insult to machinist across the world - even in India/China, where they are likely produced. So many issues, where do I begin: First, the housing has a cheap feeling and is very thin stamped metal. The feeler gauges themselves are also problematic. For one, the .002" less ground surfaces are surprisingly rough and ground across the direction they will be used, so surface grain would most likely act like a 2000 grit file. I personally wouldn't want to slide them under any rocker arm, for fear of upsetting the lapped surfaces. Additionally, a fair number of the gauges have detectible burrs risen on their leading edges (no doubt from being stamped out of sheet metal, I guess). So not only is the ground -.002" area rough, but there is a burr on the forward edge (easily detectible with your finger nail) which would clearly need to be stoned off on a fair number of the gauges. As if this wasn't enough, the laser etching is just comically poor. Many of the gauges had such faint etching, that you couldn't even really see what the numbers were without using a flash light. Even at less than 1/2 the Amazon price around town locally, these are still just over priced junk. I would suggest avoiding this particular tool and looking for another brand. ... show more

  • Very accurate great price!
Checked all gauges for accuracy and every one measured exactly as it should using digital calipers! Very nice to get such accurate gauges for this price! Just wish this brand made a smaller precision as well as a smaller, precision, bent set. I need to get into very tight spaces and these don't always fit. They are too wide or need to be bent or both. ... show more

  • Nice tool to have around the house, for DIY jobs
I'm a DIY woman. I bought this after doing research online, on the best way to change spark plug on a lawnmower. Have not used it yet, but will soon. I did not see the reason in paying a lawnmower shop $$$$$$$, for something I could do myself.
