Perfect brake cable to reach the rear brakes on any BMX bike. I easily cut mine to fit the exact length of the one I was replacing. Once you cut the exterior sleeve, without the actual cable inside (that’s important!), then you can slide the metal end cap back on the sleeve and run your cable through. Then just snip the cable at the appropriate length after you’ve made sure you have plenty to reach the brake lever, or V-brake clamp, etc. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

I use this on all my old school BMX bikes and they perform flawlessly. These work on both side pull and V brakes. The largest bike I’ve use these on is a 24 inch so I’m not sure if they will work with mountain bikes etc.

So I don’t know if the cable was too short or my handlebars being too tall. Either way I should have been able to do at least one full barspin without an issue. It would get caught on the bottom corner of the bar. You would have pulled the barspin off but eventually damaged the cable. So u would have definitely not gotten away with two. I used to be into BMX, and I used these on my BMX bike back then. They were always the smoothest brake cables and they work no matter how twisted they get. I still prefer them today and use them on my single speed road bike. They're a great deal for road riders, too, because you get so much housing that, so long as your inners are good, you can replace all of the outers once before buying a new set of cables. ... show more

I WAS LEARY ABOUT BUYING ANY BRAKE CABLES (NEVER DONE IT BEFORE), BUT WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED IN THE EASE OF USE. NO OIL OR LUBRICANT WAS NEEDED TO THREAD AND RETHREAD CABLE INTO HOUSING AS I FIGURED OUT WHAT I WAS DOING. LOVED THAT NO LUBRICANT WAS NEEDED AND LIKED THE INEXPENSIVE PRICE THAT WENT WITH IT.
