Description

Tusk motorcycle rim strips make a great replacement for worn out rim strips. These rim strips fit tight around the rim center; protecting the tube from contact and abrasion with the spoke nipples. Durable rubber material makes this stronger and longer lasting than stock rim strips. Complete with valve stem hole (no rim lock hole – rim strips sit on top of the rim lock).

I find Tusk generally over-priced but this was the one that could get here fastest for $2 more. It has no bead locker hole so you gotta cut it yourself. I tried an exacto-knife and the rubber started to split so I'd recommend starting a hole with the knife and then just using scissors. The width was great for my 2013 KTM 350 XCF-W rear wheel. It kind of naturally nested in the lowest part of the wheel over the OEM plastic/rubbery/stiff existing rim strip that may be wearing out. Seemed to be a perfect match for my 18" rim. Not too tight. found that the rim band itself seemed to be of pretty good quality thickness wise, however there were no holes cut out for the tube's valve stem to go through. not a big deal, but for the money you pay for something it should be fully functional and ready to go.
