I purchased this helmet hoping I’d never truly need it but I did. I was involved in a serious accident and hit my head hard. This helmet absorbed the impact exactly as it was designed to do, and I truly believe it saved my life. The fit was secure and comfortable, and the built-in visor stayed in place during the impact. After the accident, the helmet showed visible damage, which told me it took the force instead of my head. That’s something you can’t put a price on. If you’re debating whether this helmet is worth it, it absolutely is. Safety equipment only matters when it’s tested and this one passed when it mattered most. I would buy it again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone who values their safety.

I used the Odoland visor helmet for 2 days of skiing. Both days were on the warm side (low 30s to mid 40s). The first day was clear and sunny, and the second day was cloudy/foggy with some rain. There was some strong wind particularly on the lifts. The fit of the helmet was very good. The size adjustment on the back of the helmet worked well. I have not had the problem others noted with the adjustment mechanism pulling out of the helmet, but I have only used it for 2 days of skiing. The ear pads pull out, but it is very difficult to pull them out, and the attachment points look a little flimsy. The padding inside the helmet could be a little thicker, but it is comfortable, soft, warm and breathable. The pad on the chin strap is a little thin. The visor works very well. It has a somewhat mirrored finish with a brown tint. It worked very well on the bright sunny day. I used it when it was foggy/cloudy. It made things a little dark in the fog, but increased contrast. I wish they had yellow visor options available. I wear glasses, and the visor worked well with them. The peripheral vison is great. It is almost like you are not wearing goggles. I did not have issues with fogging. I also did not have issues with the gusts of wind blowing into the visor. There was a particularly good seal when I had my balaclava under the bottom of the visor during colder parts of the days It was hard to see through during the rain, but not more so than goggles. I could also pull it up partially to shield my glasses during the lighter rain/mist (like a the brim of a baseball hat).

Really a nice product for the price. Visor easily fits down over glasses of varying sizes. Feels fairly sturdy, certainly would protect from one fall! LoL. The visor integration is nice and easy enough to drop/lift as needed. Good design on the strap as well. My only 'criticism' is the Visor is not great at snow/shadow definition, that is contrast enhancement. If you have nice sunglasses that do this well, then these are fine, but with my regular glasses I could do with a bit more definition in the snow. I'll wear it a season or two then invest in good goggles again and a different helmet, but I'm satisfied for now with this purchase.

I bought this helmet to help with my glasses and it definitely does the trick, really happy with it. My glasses don’t get pushed up into my face or fog up as easily as they do with goggles. Also, when I want to forego the visor I just put it up and it makes a little roof over my glasses which is nice. In terms of safety, this helmet saved me from having a worse head injury than I could’ve had. I took a bad fall down a steep slope in Vermont and slammed my head onto a patch of ice. If I wasn’t wearing this helmet I absolutely would have a concussion right now. Checked out the back of it and it isn’t scuffed up or dented at all! In terms of safety and design, this is definitely worth the amount I paid for!!

Being a glasses wearer that doesn’t like contacts I was looking to change up my winter gear to be more glasses friendly. Wearing goggles, even OTG, goggles were very uncomfortable so I researched other options. A lot of name brand helmets are hundreds of dollars and I wanted something that wouldn’t break the bank, so when I found this helmet I knew I needed to give it a try. The visor is easy to use, it sometimes fogs up but I have found over the helmet hoods help avoid that and neck gaiters were a little harder to use. So many people have commented on this helmet and asked where I got it. I do wish the visor came in different colors/tints but there are replacements from other brands that will work. This helmet keeps my ears warm and is very sturdy, I took a bad fall winter end of last season and this helmet not only saved my head but also my face and nose, totally slammed my face into the slope and avoided serious injury. So pleased with this purchase that this is my second helmet in a different color so I can have two helmets to use or lend out if need be. Love this product.

This is my first time skiing with a helmet. I want sure how I'd do. But I wore it all day. It was so warm. And for great. I'm a 57 year old woman. I've been skiing for 45 years. The visor googles is so slick and new wave everyone was asking me about it. I forward the product item from Amazon to about 3-4 different people. I was the only one on the Mountain that I saw with it. Amazing product I'd buy it again. So super comfortable and special for me wearing a helmet for the first time. Everyone needs one. I'm going to check if I can get different shield colors. Really great product!!!

Pros: The helmet itself felt very secure, comfortable and seemed to be made from quality material. It's warm, yet breathable and didn't make me sweat. The padding on the chin strap was very helpful and the helmet stayed in place without shifting on my head Cons: The visor function was extremely disappointing. We skied in snowy temps around 5 degrees and I had a constant problem with snow/moisture coming in through the top part of the visor. The entire two days we skied in these conditions the visor was either foggy or covered in frost on the inside. This is due to the fact that the visor doesn't sit flush against your face and there is a very slight gap where the top of the visor meets the helmet. Even after doing my best to adjust the helmet it was still a problem through the day. I had to ski with the visor up most of the day simply because the visability was so poor. Maybe on a non-snowy day the visor would perform better, but who wants a helmet they can only wear in certain conditions? No one. I purchased two of these in different sizes for myself and my son and we both had the same problem. Luckily, the visor can be removed from the helmet by twisting the dials on the edges. Even though I'm very disappointed in the visor feature, I plan on keeping the product, removing the visor and purchase a set of goggles that can be used with the helmet. Unless you plan to do the same, I wouldn't recommend this product.
