    • Nice, Contemporary Desk
I usually don't go contemporary (I like more the country. antique, industrial decor mix) but I am moving in a 601 tiny home and needed the desk in the living room. Less bulky, with all the computer/monitor stuff on it, makes for a less look. The desk has simple lines, pretty simple to put together but there were a few challenges for me (71 young-minded woman). When putting on the last step (criss-cross on back to stabilize) I found the left side bottom was backwards but when putting together it looked correct--check how many holes. So, I had to take off one of the bottom pieces on the left side and turn it around to finish the last step correctly. Otherwise, I did it correctly. The two tops wood pieces on the left side have a hole in each which is for nothing on this unit. And there was 2 small pieces of wood marked Z which is not even on the part list or for this unit thus 2 mistakes by whoever packed this unit. The packing otherwise was perfect from any defects! It is all together and looks just like the photo. Nice! (Except the hole in each of the 2 pieces of wood on the left side/given 2 extra pieces of wood labeled Z) ... show more

This is a bear to assemble---3+ hours. Instructions are not clear about aligning up precut holes on some pieces. As a previous reviewer stated, the cross brace does not align up because of poor directions.quality is ok..it's just presswood . Sturdiness? Not so much. Functional at best. Be prepared to pull your hair out putting this together correctly. ... show more

The desk is pretty easy to put together. I set it up with the shelves on the right. Its the perfect size for my small home studio, but the monitor speakers do hang a little over the edge of the shelf. The very bottom right shelf had 2 chunks missing from the wood, but luckily it was on the face-down side. That's the reason for a star being taken off. ... show more

    • No back support holes
The things on the back that are supposed to be there for support require 4 holes to attach it and my table only has 3 so there’s no back support and makes it wobbly

I got this as a work desk. It seems nice and solid. I'm able to fit both of my work monitors and keyboards easily with room on the main desk part if I need to use a tablet or something. The rustic desk looks great, is sturdy and fits nicely into the small cubby in my room (39" size). I'm 6'1 and found the desk to be a suitable height that my office chair can manage. Be careful not to screw the frame with the underside of the main table too tightly or you risk puncturing the desk. The assembly was easy and the Manufacturer included extra hardware. A huge surprise because I've ran into defective hardware in the past with other brands of self assembly furniture. Seems like this desk will last a long time.
