I like this desk. It was easy for me to assemble (but I'm pretty mechanically not-an-idiot[technical term] and a beefcake [total lie]) and took about an hour. My only gripe with it is I can't have the desk flush with the wall because the top shelf is too shallow for my monitor. That may also be because I didn't check the measurements to see if my monitor would fit on it before I ordered it, hence why I am not deducting stars from the rating. I've got it on carpet and it's sturdy. The LED is kind of gimmicky and is really just 2 strips you double-side tape to the bottom of the top shelf. You could probably just buy a non-LED version of this desk and go to the dollar store and buy a couple strips of LED lights, but you do you. I really do love the power strip that is built into the desk though. It makes my wife jealous. Her desk is for peasants. Anyway, what I really do like about this desk is how high quality it is for the low price. It doesn't look cheap either, which is nice. It does kind of look cheap now because I have foam bumpers taped to it with packaging tape so my daughter doesn't bang her head into it. The corners are like knives. Anyway, buy it. It's a good desk.

The instructions for building it were clear, and all parts well-labeled to avoid confusion. The fact that any needed tools were included is always a bonus in the courtesy category for me. (As a heads up, when the box is actually delivered, it is deceptively HEAVY compared to just looking at it.) My main frustration was most of the actually process of building it. Because it's a large desk, it's going to become more awkward to maneuver as you get further along, but I kept running into issues where screws wouldn't line up or thread properly, or somehow, the hole in the piece had become *just* out of alignment with the hole in the desk, which would affect all others to do. But that happening would usually become an issue after already screwing in 4-5 pieces, so I had to go undo all of that work and start over. One of the last steps is attaching the second level stand part to the main desk, but they're all being attached from UNDER the desk, which is a major pain for lining things up, awkward positioning, and seeing what you're doing. Now that it's together, though, I'm happy with how I can now use the extra space due to the second level; I didn't see the light strip feature info, so I was delighted with how logical that was to include. It's sturdy, nothing feels shaky, the materials all feel solid and legitimate. I wish there were options to add on to the base desk, like adding baskets for storage under the desk or shelves, that could be bought separately and screwed on later, but I'll figure something out. Overall though, I usually leave reviews if something was either brilliant or absolute garbage, and I'm really happy with the desk and my purchase. Thumbs up!

I needed something more of an L shape and this fit perfect in my space. I loved my old desk, but I wanted more space. This has plenty of space for things on and around my desk. I was use to a key board tray, so this took a min to get used to. Easy to build, nice and sturdy. Is not week and flimsy like some of the big store box furniture you get. No clunky tighten tabs, all screws and bolts. Over all I like it. After 2 weeks, I did get and install an adjustable keyboard tray. Now I really love it.
