I started out using a TV tray in front of the recliner for snacks etc. Then I moved up to an old, narrow table which was much better. In time, I was attempting to use it as if it were an actual table. It isn't...at least not for my use. One day I was looking through Amazon and saw this relatively inexpensive unit. I crossed my fingers and ordered it. Am I glad I did! For some reason I'm having difficulty adding photos...so I'll just explain my issues with it. The instructions (photos not posting :() were inscrutable. I JUST FOUND THE PHOTO!!! It is of the "inscrutable instructions"...I hope you can see them...aweful!!! The bags of hardware VERY poorly marked...they used numbers which IF they actually matched I just had to guess often. The numbers printed on the bags were too small...could have been MUCH larger and darker. One screw would not go in....most were not too difficult to put in but one...just had too much paint where the threads go. They used the paint as a sort of way to screw into something...interesting method and almost worked. The finished product is almost exactly what I wanted...but it took hours to complete...too long for a 'simple' doityourself project. If the end product wasn't so good, I would have given it a much lower rating. ... show more

I have a very small workspace as I work from home. I put this together myself with no issues and had just enough space for about 1/2 in on each side. like I said its a very small area I am working with lol. I also purchased a tray that can come out and stores the keyboard and mouse and it works flawlessly and holds up to the weight of the mount and pressure I put on the keyboard while working. The headset holder I didnt need for my work desk but I did use it for my gaming desk to hold my headset. ... show more

The desk is decent, but missing from the listing is the depth; it's about 19.5 inches. The width and height are listed, but in hindsight, it could stand to be closer to 22-24 inches in depth, otherwise I would only recommend this if using a monitor mount, and even then, its tight. If you want a keyboard tray or want to mount one, don't get this desk. It is sturdy, but the top is thin. The supplied headphone hook and storage box are nice touches, but the box isn't usable if trying to mount it on the inside of the desk, as there isn't enough room between the bottom of the desk and box opening. The headphone hook may or may not work on the inside, depending on what's underneath it, e.g. a computer tower. Assembly was easy, as it's just a handful of screws and it's pretty light to move around. ... show more

I've been building PCs for a while, and I repair consoles for a living. I've been through so many desks in my life, whether it be needing to increase the surface area, or maybe I just melted the previous one. For this price, this desk is worth more in my opinion. I'd honestly pay around $250 for a desk like this, had I not gotten it for this price. It's strong, it's light, it's large, and it fits my exact purpose. I am actually going to order a second one within the next month. I don't leave reviews often, unless it's amazing or horrible, and this desk is definitely a 10/10 for me. ... show more

The desk is sturdy. My last desk, although aesthetically pleasing, was very flimsy. This desk was easy to put together. I'm not good at putting things together, but I managed with this desk. The desk is very spacious, a big plus, and has a lot of legroom. Depending on the color you select (I chose Espresso Gray), it may not be exactly like the picture. I was disappointed to see the very gray table top instead of a blackish gray. The desk isn't the best looking. If you can work the table in the space, you'll be ok. I'll have to add some things like plants and try to get over the color if I want to keep it. If you're going for the 55" and you have a small space, the desk will be too long. Depending on where you place the desk, it can look like a long kitchen table. The desk also collects a lot of finger prints and whatever else you place on the desk. I have to use a microfiber cloth every day to clean it up sense that bothers me. I'm pleased with how sturdy the desk is and the space it offers. I am not happy with the color. ... show more

I tried to keep low expectations, because you never know with Amazon, but this desk is even better than I had hoped for !!! I didn’t see any photos of the white color in the reviews so I was a little nervous that it might be a cheap plastic material, but it’s actually really nice. When we moved into our current house, I had a lot of furniture to put together. Some easy, and some not so easy. This was one of the easy ones. It's a nice design without a lot of unnecessary pieces and assembled pretty quickly. The metal supports that run side to side in the front and back give this desk top and nice stability for a desk at this price point. I also got a screw clamp desk lamp for this. It was a little challenging to get it secure with the metal supports, but it works just fine. It's plenty long enough and fits perfectly in the space I had available. I needed a basic table to hold my printer and heat press. Everything that I liked was too narrow or too expensive! This is perfect.
