Super nice grip, just like a vans sole. Easy installation. I replaced an original set of Schwinn grips on a 21 year old MTB and couldn't be happier. Some are perturbed that there are no instructions included. I think ODI sees it as... if you can't figure this out you should take it to a shop. But since not everyone has worked on bicycles their whole life, I thought I would write up some basic installation instructions. See below. How to install: Open package, remove contents. Contents are: four aluminum locks, two grips, two bar end caps and four set screws. First grab the four aluminum locks and four set screws. Drive the set screws in but don't tighten them all the way. Press the four locks onto the grips ends by lining up the channels and pressing hard until they click in. They should be flush with the rubber part of the grip. Now snap the end caps into thew locks on the bar end side on each grip assy. If your bar ends are roughed up and the locks wont pass over the lip, use a file to smooth them out. Slide the whole grip assembly onto the bar. You may have to loosen the brake levers and shifters. Push the grip to where you can feel the outer lock slip over the bar end and hit the end cap. Adjust the grip and tighten the locks down. Adjust your brake lever and shifter if necessary. Ride. ... show more

Classic design with that awesome vans look. I’m doing an initial review (3 rides so far). They are soft and grippy while being firm as well. Make sense? I’ve had much softer grips that I know wear out within the season. I can see these lasting about a year but that’s a perfect time frame for balance of soft grips. The lock on feature is a must have and ODI always does it right. Easy, no fuss setup with great looks and grip for your hands, gloves or no gloves. I have Troy Lee ODI lock-on grips on 3 bikes and I have the VANS on one bike. After almost 2000Kms they look brand new. While a little thicker, I am super comfy on these. That said, I use a glove every single time I ride my bike. I ride in tropical weather, so not sure how below zero C colds might or might not effect them.
