This is what this part looks like after 3 months. The last one that i tool off the car had 80 thousand miles and looked better. This one seized up and caused the car to overheat and hopefullly didnt blow the headgasket.

After a perfect install and order experience. Today this part left me stranded a 45min drive from home. While I expect if I didn't live with a gravel drive way I would have noticed earlier failure signs of this part warping and allowing the coolant to leak out from the bottom side. I didn't know about it untill it was spraying coolant all over my engine bay and my car was over heating. Close inspection showed that not only did the plastic tabs that hold the spring back warp but the sealing face has about a 1/16in. Bow. ... show more

This is a high quality thermostat. My car was overheating and loosing coolant very badly to the point the engine fan will kept running for around 5 min after I turned the car off. The culprit was a brand new thermostat that came defective from the factory. Installed this one and the car temperature kept within more sane ranges, and all the related overheating problems were gone. ... show more
