This is designed to be like a hotel style premium comforter. And it is luxuriously fluffy, boasting an impressive loft having a 780 fill power. The shell is 100% cotton which is important for a good nights sleep. Not all fabrics are compatible with our bodys necessarily but the cotton feels soft and breathable, and the corner tabs secure it perfectly to my duvet cover. This is more than what a simple blanket can provide. It is super comforting, warm and cozy. The down filling provides exceptional warmth, even on the chilliest nights. I think it will help me save some on my heating costs because I dont have to have the heat turned up so high anymore. I no longer wake up cold, and the comforters weight is surprisingly light, unlike some down comforters that can feel heavy and suffocating. It is like sleeping on a cloud, I love it most for snuggling up with a good book or when watiching a movie in bed with my kids . The quality and construction of the comforter feels well made and durable. The stitching is neat, and the down filling seems evenly distributed. I have not experienced any feather leakage or clumping, which is a common concern with down comforters. I ordered the queen size which it measures approximately 90in x 90in and has a 60oz fill weight. It has a more premium fill made up of 80% white goose feathers and 20% white goose down. This is different from others that are filled from gray duck down. Gray duck down is more rough textured so not as fluffy feeling and the fill has less warmth retention property than the white goose down which is soft and breathable. It is machine washable which is great in terms of convenience because I have 5 children so being able to machine wash is kinda a must. You can machine wash it in cold water, but do not bleach it. You can also put it in the dryer and tumble dry on low heat. So it can be washed with water or dry cleaned if that is preferred. When first opening the comforter from the vacuum sealed packaging it is helpful to tumble dry on low setting for 15-30 minutes to restore and fluff it up to its original state. I am happy with my purchase of this winter down comforter. It is incredibly warm, cozy, and well made, providing luxury hotel style comfort at home. I would recommend it.
