Great to use for paddle boarding too

I am new to paddle boarding and have not yet mastered the art of standing on the board. Using for Paddle Board for safety and versatility

Highly recommend having a double blade paddle for your SUP for windy situations, a single blade doesn't cut it. This is an OK paddle, I gave less stars because the mechanism to change from single blade to double blade, which is a nice feature, requires a screw driver, instead of a snapping mechanism, which is stupid. So instead, I take two paddles, a single blade and this one set up as a double paddle, which is a lot to deal with, but ultimately needed for safety and comfort. Also, I need to use sitting down as it's not long enough to use it double bladed from standing position. May as well have got just a kayak paddle. I'm a newbie recreational SUPer who's gone out on lakes, so pretty light use, and for that it's worked fine ... show more

The 1st one arrived with a broken tip but Amazon replaced it. 2nd one was fine. The tips are flimsy like most paddles so be careful when packing in a bag or the car.

Blade is Loose at Unboxing

Nice looking paddles and they seem sturdy. However, out of the box, the blade piece fit WAY too loosely into the adjustable handle fitting. I'm sure the blade would have fallen off ... I don't understand why they don't, for the paddle attachment, include a button lock and then only rely on the pressure mechanism for the paddle-board style handle (where you're pushing down on the shaft). I tightened the tension mechanism's two screws with a Phillips head screwdriver but there is only a small space left before it's completely flush. Really, just put a button on the paddle piece and let the regular paddle-board grip be adjustable via tension. Not sure if I'll keep or not ... Frustrating. I need both blades when it's windy and it's necessary to dig in and that's not a good time to lose the blade ... ... show more

Absolutely loved. Had to adjust the clamp to accommodate both attachments. Made my SUP trip way more enjoyable. Could sit and paddle with the paddle attachment as well as stand with the handle attachment. Would highly recommend at least one clip on each piece.
