Bought these because I was tired of wearing standard issue steel toes that gave me bunions. Instantly, I felt relief in these Oakleys. They feel like a running shoe, but have the perfect amount of ankle support. These boots have not disappointed at plenty of boots and utes PT days, and I even run with them on my own every now and then because they are so comfortable. Only downside is that they fade pretty quickly, especially if you wear them in wet environments or like to walk through grass/puddles. But after one year of heavy wear, they don't hurt my feet and the tread is fresh, so I think they will last a good while. ... show more

These are good for garrison use. I had the worst blisters in my life (yet) wearing these on a 18 mile movement. Just wrecked my feet. If you’re looking for a light boot for garrison these are phenomenal, if you’re looking to be fighting light & want to be fast maybe try a different boot. I believe the lack of vibram sole is why these ruined me so badly, but I could feel every rock stick or unevenness of the road by the last 3-4 miles. I have rocked these for a few rucks & they are light for the rucks but I’m beginning to think that rucking pace isn’t really determined by the weight of the boots with warm weather boots. I bought these to use while hiking in the desert/mountainous area's... and they do a fantastic job! Lightweight, but supportive along with good traction. The fit was actually one of the best ever with this style of boots... they said they were true to size and they are not kidding. The fit impressed the heck out of me, I honestly expected to maybe have to exchange at least once but these fit PERFECT. *disclaimer - as with almost all boots of this style, they DO need to break in a bit... so give them a bit of time.. but I can say honestly, these break in far better than most other boots of this style I have purchased. ... show more

Update a year later: Fantastic boot. The comfort factor is amazing and they've held up and asked for more. Very satisfied. Original: Fits according to regular show size. Seems well made. Haven't got a lot of miles in them yet but they broke in quickly and are very light/comfortable. I'm a boot junkie and needed a summer boot for the mountains. I'm also rough on gear so I'll revisit/update this review in time...if I don't forget. ... show more

overall, this was a great buy. change out of the basic boots! this fits true to size, maybe half a size up if you have fat and wide feet like mine. DONOT SIZE DOWN LIKE THE BASIC BOOTS. bought it at a discount, which was a great value. comfortable and light. would def recommend.
