Very little written text mostly visual. Without the visual ie pictures it would have been almost impossible to put together. The side table itself was very attractive and filled my need to fill a shirt wall space.

I ordered this for my home office, primarily to have some place to put my printer. It coordinates with a desk also purchased on Amazon. I assembled this by myself in about 30 minutes. The only "tricky" part was putting the bottom shelf on, since you are assembling this upside down. I just turned it up on the side and was easily able to attach the shelf. The instructions clearly advise you to not tighten down the screws until assembly is complete. This way, you'll have some "give" in things lining up. Once assembled, the piece is very solid. The top is MDF (not real wood) but I think it would be easy enough to replace with "real" wood if someone chose to do so.
