This is a great product and very fun for all ages. If you watch the videos you can see kids can run around on it - but just a warning - adults can try to stand and run but will likely be unsuccessful which I learned personally. For adults it is just a huge nice water float - however I have also seen in the videos people using the beach chairs on them which might be nice but haven't tried so don't know how it would work. Update - I had a issue with the bungee that allows you to anchor it down. However I contacted O'Brien and they promptly are sending me a new bungee and the instructions for fixing. I was very happy that they stood behind the product since it is fairly expensive and was happy with the quick customer service I received.

Four girls between the ages 7and 9 used this product on a freshwater lake for one hour and the lettering peeled off. We were very disappointed by this although this does not affect the product quality. We had four adults sitting on it with no problem but you can not definitely not stand on it.

I don't give out 5 stars easily and it is pretty expensive (I paid $428 in March) but this thing is worth the money. We live on a lake and everyone, I mean everyone has commented when we take this out. The kids absolutely love it. They do cart wheels, roll up in it like a burrito and have last one standing contests. My neighbors son had a graduation party on a pretty cool day (high 50s). Bunch of 11 year old boys jump in the water and then start complaining it's too cold to swim and want to go back in side. I pulled out the water carpet and they stayed in the water for the next four hours. It is also perfect for the little ones in shallow water where they can easily climb on and jump off. Total blast. Best water purchase yet.

Excellent concept, solid product. One of those "why didn't I think of this?" things! The foam is not the "soft" foam similar to what you'd expect from a water noodle. Rather, it's a bit more course and rough to the skin... probably to give traction while standing (which it does well). No worries, but be warned you'll feel the discomfort sliding on/off on your belly/back. Also, dog claws will puncture, so keep the pets at bay (or in the bay)! Don't forget your "King of the Pad" tournament brackets!

We purchased the Water Carpet for a few reasons: to give our kiddos something to do when we anchor out at the lake and allows them to play and secondly, keeps them from stealing all the adult floats! This keeps them entertained for hours. They dance, run, jump, wrestle, and lay out on it. It is a PITA to roll back up and takes two people if you need to keep it tight. It comes with two straps that keep it rolled, but one of ours broke after the 3rd use. They are nylon straps with a buckle. The buckle part broke off. We have a ski boat so we tie this to the back. It does take up a good bit of space but if you have a pontoon or a dock, this is ideal.

We have used it 2 weekends at lake, kids age 5-12 playing on it. Already ripped near grommet so bad we had to cut 3 feet off and move grommet. Another rip about 4" long in middle. Lake friends have other brands and all of them are holding up much better.
