Description

KEY FEATURES This modified tow rope completely changes the inflatable experience while also adding significant safety Quick connect compatible design makes for quick and easy setup with properly equipped inflatablesWith a tensile strength of 4 100 lbs this rope is capable of supporting most inflatables for up to four riders The blue and yellow inflatable is how the O?Brien Shockball gets its name but this is actually a tow rope not a ride on Running through the Shockball is a sixty foot tow rope strong enough to pull inflatables carrying up to four people and two removable sections allow you to fine tune the length for your application What happens is the Shockball works to keep the tow line out of the water while you?re under way reducing drag so your boat gets better fuel economy and allowing for more dynamic lateral movement for the inflatable at the other end Plus by keeping the line up and out of the water safety is enhanced not only because you can?t foul when the line isn?t in the water but also because of the added visibility the elevated line and the Shockball itself provides

  • For towables
Style: Shock Ball
Have not yet to try . But product looks like it will do the jop .of keeping the tow rope from splashing riders

  • Very pleased with purchase
Style: Shock Ball
We recently purchased the Shocker Ball. We could not be more pleased. Previously, the drag on the boat was terrible, now the ball reduces the drag with tubing.

  • Decent product
Style: Shock Ball
Used ours for 2 days and it started leaking at a seam.

  • Lasted 2 uses before started to leak.
Style: Shock Ball
Used it twice with a 3 person towable which it indicates can support and there is already a small hole in one of the seams. I am grateful, Amazon has an easy return policy, but have to wait 2 weeks for the replacement. Summers aren't all that long in Chicago..... Outside of that, it did work as advertised. Kept the rope out of the wake and made it easier to move the tube back and forth across the wake. ... show more

  • Easy to use, one piece ball, no nylon cover.
Style: Shock Ball
I bought this to replace out last ball. The price was great and I liked the idea of not having the nylon cover over the ball. But it came with a small hole and only lasted a couple hours. So I retuned it and went back to a ball with a nylon cover for more protection.

  • Sprays more than the rope dragging in the water
Style: Shock Ball
It seems durable and works well to drift the tubers outside of the wake without the rope pulling through the water. But the ball creates a spray of water that constantly drills the tubers on the face. Maybe you’re into that kinda thing and this contraption is for you. My kids didn’t enjoy it.

  • These are game changers
Style: Shock Ball
The media could not be loaded. Keeps the rope out of the water, which reduces spray on the riders, allows the towable to more easily move side to side, and reduces the jerking that can occur when the rope drags in the water. This particular one is a good price and is a quality product. My brother has a different brand, and it is more of a conical shape vs an orb shape. I like this one better. The other gets turned around when trying to let out the rope. ... show more

  • I gave it a try but doesn’t seem to help much, if at all..so we returned it.
Style: Shock Ball
Quality of the ball itself was good, as to be expected with O’Brien. The problem is it seemed to cause even more water spray in the riders faces than with no ball at all on the tow rope...So I sent it back and we will stick to using a regular tow rope. I tried it with my 2014 Tahoe Q5i pulling a 2 person tube. ... show more
