It is hard to color match a foundation or cover-up for Olive skin. I find options either too chalky-light or too orange/yellow-dark even in medium tones. This is perfect. I want to love this formula because it has decent ingredients which is why I made the purchase. It has really nice coverage and I can even use it as a concealer sometimes. It applies smooth and blends well. However, if you have even slightly dry skin you will hate the way it looks on your skin. I have dry patches and even when I moisturize before applying this, it still looks bad. It really sits on the skin. When I have nice skin days I can put this on and it's great. I did not realize when I ordered this foundation that it would be so oily. One application and I felt like there was an oil slick on my face. I promptly removed the foundation and used a different brand. I left the bottle setting on my side table for a few days and later noticed that the mixture had separated with a good 1/3 of the top of the bottle being what looked like nothing but oil of sorts. Great as a stand alone foundation or to mix into other foundations to get a closer color match. I’ve always found the formulation pretty forgiving and extremely easy to blend - but like with most foundations it can get cakey if you over apply. They actually have shades that are light enough for my ghostly skin - and lighter! - so I really appreciate that. The finish on its own is nothing to write home about, I prefer a more dewy look and it plays well with other products to give me the glow I want. I tested this liquid foundation on my bare skin and it looked like velvet, though a little too matte for my dry skin. I still liked it, so I ordered several other shades because it’s very inexpensive. Unfortunately when it came to actually wearing it to work, I didn’t have a good experience putting it on top of Supergoop matte sunscreen. It did not lay on smoothly, but rather uneven. When I took photos it looked okay but up close - not so good. Today I tested it on top of two different moisturizing creams, after waiting for at least 10 minutes, and the result was even worse, it went on VERY unevenly and settled in pores giving me a coconut face. That’s a shame, because it looked so good on its own. The only place on my face where it looked good is on top of the same moisturizer that I applied the night before. I don’t see how I can use this foundation in Californian summer, if it doesn’t work with sunscreen. I will continue trying different options and will update to more stars if I find a moisturizer or sunscreen that it will pair well with. ... show more
