This is a pretty nice lip liner as far as discount lip pencils go! It’s fairly creamy and smooth and the application was easy enough. I just wish the color was a little more opaque and vibrant, it skipped a little and I had to go over a few areas twice that’s why I’m giving it a 4 not 5 stars. It doesn’t really smudge unless you take your finger and wipe it directly, but it’s good for drinks and food! If it’s supposed to have plumping action I didn’t really notice much/ any but it did make my lips look good. I got the shade Espresso and it was a pretty brown that will be versatile with a lot of lipstick! In the pics I used a grayish/ blue lipstick/ gloss with it! ... show more

Too soft. The tip broke off when I applied. Also as I lined my lips then smiled I could see gaps in the line from lip wrinkles. Returned and bough a cheaper liner that was harder and allowed me to press and make a good line. The softness of this liner also created a thicker line which I didn't want. I got the Pale Pink, and I would order it again. It's a very pretty color. I got it because I got pink NYX and elf lip glosses, and neither looked good, and I figured that using a lip liner with them would help. Well, it did, but I still don't like the glosses because they're too bright overall. I'm searching for "very light pink" lip glosses and lipsticks now, and it would be nice if NYX offered a lip pencil in that range, too, but in the meantime, I really like the color of this lip pencil. In the distant past, when I first experimented with lip pencils (years ago), the trend was to create a sharp and severe lipline, but now with all the influencers really enhancing and developing makeup ideas, the softer shades of lipliners have come to the forefront, and that's exactly what I need!!! I have very fair ("cool toned") skin, and I initially applied this only subtly, but the color is good enough that a person can go all out with it.
