The formula is super creamy, and doesnโ€™t budge. It stays exactly where you put it. You donโ€™t even need lipliner. Also the SMELL. Oh man. I literally just open the tube to smell it sometimes. I canโ€™t even describe what it smells like, but itโ€™s YUMMY. I keep trying to wear my other lipsticks but I just end up wiping it off and reaching for this one. My go-to lipstick. I love to pair it with elf lip gloss for a pop of shine. Wear this on a day to day basis. Use nyx lip liner as well to add shape. Highly recommend.

I saw some other reviewers complaining of the lack of satin finish and they're right. I received the color "Everyone Lies", and the consistency of similar to that of an old matte lipstick rather than a creamy satin. The first picture is how the lipstick looks on my lips, and the second is what it's suppose to look like. There is no silky shine. The formula is sticky and dragged on my skin. It goes on patchy. It took me a few tries to get it to look consistent. I'm inclined to believe Amazon is at fault since they love to give out dried-out/old makeup. I had this problem with another Nyx matte lipstick I ordered. If you can spare it, pay the few extra dollars to get the makeup directly from the brand's website or a credible makeup store. ... show more

I wish .Amazon product descriptions were more accurate. I have medium olive skin and am faux tanned. I wear a smokey eye, so pale nude lips are my fave. I have a massive collection of nude lippies. A LA MODE is described as a YELLOW NUDE, but it is not. It is a PEACH Nude, and yes that matters. I love Nude lipsticks, but I must have 30+ peachy nudes. I didn't need, nor want, another one. If you are familiar with MAC Cosmetics, a YELLOW nude would be akin to MAC SISS my most beloved, and now discontinued yellow nude. I was hoping A LA Mode would be a replacement, but it is not. A pale or light yellow nude is a camel beige type of color. It is very unique and hard to find. Peachy nudes are a dime a dozen. If Mac Cherish and Mac Myth had a baby, you get Nyx .A LA Mode. On a pale skintoned blonde, A LA Mode would be a nice medium toned warm beige and could even be worn with a nude eye look. On olive skin or deeper? You will definitely need a verrrrrry dramatic smokey eye to not look washed out. I wish NYX would come up with a true YELLOW toned beige nude/light camel beige nude lipstick (aka Mac Siss dupe!). They used to have a shade called NYX ECHO, but it was more of a paperbag light brown nude, than a camel beige. :/ NOT super flattering.... If you are looking for a light peachy nude, try A LA Mode. I ordered this lip product and the first tube wouldn't twist up. I asked for a replacement. The 2nd tube also did not twist up. I have tried to ask for either a refund or replacement and the site wouldn't let me continue the step by step process. It just kept saying that something went wrong.
