No matter what else I try, I keep coming back to the two types of NYX setting sprays and its the one I use for my every day make-up. I’ve tried a bunch of high-end brands, and this gives me the same great results—for like a quarter of the price. My makeup stays put all day, even when I’m sweating, and barely smudges. One thing I love is the versatility, one gets everything to dry matt and the other a little (but not overly dewy). The two bottles lasts a while as well, especially if you grab it on sale. I only use two sprays for my entire face. Total steal for the quality.

OMG!!! Today was the first day I used this. Coincidentally the same day that took a HUGE turn for the worst and I ended up in the ER. Literally, balled my eyes out and sweat for hours today. ALL DAY. Tears pouring NON STOP. My face is covered in make up. IT ALL STAYED PUT… my mascara didn’t run, my under eye concealer stayed, the rest of my make up stayed on FLAWLESSLY!!!!!! I’m shocked. I want to buy 100 more bottles I want this everyday for life. I’m in so much pain from what happened today and what am I doing instead of sleeping? WRITING THIS REVIEW ON THIS INCREDIBLE PRODUCT. I have combination skin, super oily but can also get dry when I use retinol (but ALWAYS) oily, textured, large pores, acne scarring, acne prone, sensitive skin. My skin get oily within an hour of makeup application so I always buy setting spray in the hopes that it will help. I bought the NYX Matte Setting Spray to see if it would help and this is my honest review. It is a fair price, sprays pretty evenly (occasionally get big globs that spray out but it mostly mists fine), it's odorless, doesn't make my sensitive skin react, doesn't flare up my acne, dries quickly and completely, doesn't leave any noticeable residue behind and feels light on my skin. Did this work for me? No. I didn't notice a difference. There is only ONE setting spray that I have ever used that has shown me results (Charlotte Tilbury). This was just snake oil. My face wasn't any more matte using this and my oily skin still made my makeup cake/smear. I still used the whole bottle clinging to the hope that it was doing something but honestly, I don't think this was it for me. If you have truly oily skin like me, I wouldn't recommend this setting spray for noticeable results.. I'm giving it 3 stars because it didn't cause any problems with my skin, but it also didn't set my makeup or mattify my skin. Hope this helps!

I have very oily skin and live in the South. This is the first setting spray I've ever used and I won't be changing anytime soon. Gave it a try when we went to a baseball game; figured I didn't have anything to lose if it didn't work. When we got home my clothes were all disgustingly soggy from sweat, but my makeup was perfect! It even lessened the lines I get on my cherub cheeks from smiling with my sunglasses on!
