Nice matte black nylon spandex. It has good drape and stretch is just under 50% with the grain and a little less across the grain. You cannot see through the fabric but it is on the thin side. I will use for leotards and will need to line them. The fabric laundered nicely with no shrinkage. I washed in cold on delicate setting and air dried. The piece I received was 36.5" and folded well so it is a true one yard piece. The price is what you would expect for a good quality nylon spandex.

This has a great weight and will be just the perfect fabric for my home sewing project. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on how to convert regular pants and shorts to yoga pants by replacing the regular waistband with a stretchy band. I have several pants that are tight and uncomfortable in the waist and were in my donations box, so I decided to retrieve them and convert to more comfortable styles. This fabric is heavy enough and stretchy enough to make great new, wide waist bands. I’m thinking that the leftover fabric will be great for a pair of workout shorts. The 60” width is great to work with and a 1-yard piece goes a long way.

I was hoping the fabric would be a tad thicker for the price - but it's adequate for its intended purpose I think - though I'm not going to be making a swimsuit out of it. Probably a bodysuit. The tricot fabric stretches pretty equally both directions. The fabric has a gentle drape, not stiff. It's thick enough that when stretched up against skin, it's fully opaque. But not so thick that if you were to make like a mask out of it, well, you can barely see through it - but you can see through it a little bit when stretched. If you doubled it up, though, you could make a night mask out of it for example.

This is a nice quality, mid weight matte spandex. There is minimal show through when it's stretched and the fabric is dyed rather than printed, so no whiteness when stretched. It would be great for all types of activewear.

Unlike some of the other reviewers to date, I actually found this fabric to be quite thick--much thicker than I was expecting and which I can find in my local fabric stores. Even when stretched, you still cannot see through it, so I was pleasantly surprised. Since it is thicker, I found it easier to sew with than usual for a spandex fabric. It wasn't prone to rolling on the edges and sewed much more smoothly than I'm used to for spandex. I've machine washed it in cold water and hung to dry. So far, so good.

This fabric is very smooth and has a lovely, fluid drape. It feels like very nice quality swim fabric. It is translucent, but not nearly as bad as swim fabric from the big box craft stores. I measure about 50% stretch selvedge to selvedge and 45% along the selvedge. I have made a fair amount of swimsuits and that's likely what I'll use it for. I have a lovely black and dark rainbow mermaid scale swim fabric that would pair very nicely with this. It would also make a good pair of leggings or shorts for under dresses.
