UPDATE AS OF 8/15/26 I have washed the robe once and it handled the wash very well. Nothing about the robe changed. I washed in warm water and put it in the dryer on the “more dry” setting. It didn’t shrink, no frayed threads or anything. HOWEVER: I did decide to order an XL. The large fits me fine but I have roommates and a few times when I sat down in the robe it opened a little too much for comfort and I ALMOST got exposed. So just to make sure I’m safe around roommates I ordered the extra large for the extra fabric to wrap around. I’m still really happy with it overall. So far I really like it. I will update once I’ve washed it a couple times and put some wear on it. But here is my first impression. Fit: I am 5’7” and 180 pounds. I ordered a large and it does overlap when closed but it’s just enough to be comfortable. That is not a complaint for me though, just the best way I can describe the fit. If you’re in my size range and like to have a little extra fabric to be extra cozy get the XL. I like how the large fits; I feel adequately covered. The hood is perfect for me. The fabric is strong enough that it’s not droopy around my face and gives me cozy coverage. Feel: It’s super soft and has some stretch. I have had this robe for almost 5 years. I was sitting here with it on thinking to myself how this things hasn't changed at all from when I first got it. With most robes of this plush type material after washing they ball up and become natty and matted. This robe is still just as soft and plush as the day I opened it! It's thick, great quality and sooo soft and luxurious and velvety and it feels criminal to be so affordable. It's so heavy, however, that the loop to hang it could probably be a little more reinforced as mine has torn. But for how bad ass this robe is I don't care about that at all. I'm genuinely shocked at how well it's held up. Feels every bit of a $100 quality. I imagine how I've washed it has helped it last this well as I never use the dryer. I drape dry it. Hood is roomy and so are the pockets, they can hold ALOT. It's warm, cozy, soft, heavy, squishy and glorious. The stitching everywhere else hasn't deteriorated at all. I chose the purple/maroon color and it's just as vibrant as new. I wouldn't give a damn if it had poop emoji print all over it, it's that nice. Might not check the mail in it though. These would make fantastic gifts. Almost 5 years and it's still amazing... and under $30!? Headed to checkout with another one for my Mom. I got the medium. I'm 5'2" amd 140 lbs. It is almost too small. It fits like a glove. So if you want a robe that covers more, and has a bit more give, size up! I already bought a large and am much happier. The stitching is solid and nice. I want to wear just the robe because it is so soft. It is also warm, really warm in a good way. It is longer than my other rooms was and that helps so much to have more ofegs covered. The thickness is a bit thicker than a cheap-thin robe, it is perfect. I was blown away with how warm it kept me in the mornings because it isn't bulky. The medium covered me well, but when I sit it opens and my legs are exposed. So I will keep my large amd return the medium, hopefully this helps ... show more
