I mainly got these to protect the speakers from water damage from a leaking window seal or forgetting to roll the window up and it rains. As a bonus, the high mid-range seems a little bit brighter and the low end has a bit more bump. Not a huge difference but they do keep the door metal from vibrating by isolating the speaker housing from the door metal plus there is a foam piece for the inside of the door skin at the open end of the baffle reducing sound reflection. I used these to install Kicker 47KSC6804 speakers in a 2010 Ford Edge Sport. The install was very easy and I like how the baffles protect the speakers. I did not try the sound system without the baffles for comparison purposes, but I can say that the speakers sound excellent in these baffles and I'm really happy with their bass performance. I purchased the Boom Mat baffles a couple of years ago for a speaker upgrade in my other vehicle and I found these NVX baffles to be a better all-around solution. I like the item, but the box was smashed when I got the package, but Amazon delivered it to the wrong address so I don't know how the damage occurred, luckily they're silicon so the reshaped after sitting overnight

If you’re doing this install and expect a huge difference in sound, it’s not happening, the best thing I can think of is that it protects the speaker from water but the minimal foam they give you does nothing to stop the sound waves inside the door, if you want to do that be prepared to buy deadening material and install it well. It does help keep a little bit of pressure on the door panel to help with maybe some rattles if you had some there. Otherwise the product is more for protection ... show more

Definitely helped with the sound!! Nice quality and thick!! The egg shell baffle was a nice touch for a little extra it was worth it. Both this set front/ rear and doing the same on another vehicle.

I can’t remember why I chose to buy this, but I’m happy I did. Actually I’m more than happy. I’m amazed by the quality of the sound that my speakers now produce. I have a 2015 Dodge Dart premium sound system set up. Pretty good but I’ve heard better. Upgrade the whole system and swapped all the speakers out for Kickers. Now I was rocking a proper system. Then a friend mentioned baffles and I lost it. After the add-on, I had to zero out my equalizer settings. Before I ran +2Treble +3Mid +1Bass. Which now feels like +5 across the board. The PUNCH factor is on another level. Will definitely recommend to my friends. ... show more
