These took a little bit of problem-solving and retrofitting but that's the beauty of DIY and home renovation. Once the problem-solving was figured out and executed, installation was a breeze. There's enough wire after being screwed into the bulb sockets that placement isn't too restricted. And the lights are super bright. The Beam cast is generous with 2 foot spacing between fixtures in my kitchen. The housing actually cast a higher shadow than I expected with its recessed setting. The fixture itself fits the old cans snugly and seats tightly to the ceiling. Of course the E26 socket means the installation takes a minute, after removing the old baffle/ring/bulb. The light is strong and even and I have not measured the CRI accuracy but the 3k setting is fine as task light in my kitchen. Its a nice modernist upgrade to the tired round housings that have been around forever.. ... show more

Do you have high temperature can lights in your ceiling? These 4" square LED retrofits easily screw into the light socket of the can light and provide a much better, cleaner look. And don't forget the savings thanks to replacement of incandescent bulbs with LEDs. Just keep in mind, these are only 4" square. So they may not cover all spaces created by recessed can lights. ... show more
