I have raised 9 purebred Shelties over the past 28 years and Nutro-Ultra product is really great food! My dogs are spoiled rotten and this food is a great foundation to a dog that has great coat, strong muscles, good eyesight and healthy dogs throughout the years. We add parboiled boneless chicken breast that I chop in a food processor just to supplement the dry food. We sometimes add applesauce or pumpkin or sweet potatoes to the food just to change it up for them.. again spoiled babies! We have only used Nutro products and when Amazon Prime has a deal on it, I buy 2-4 bags at a time. ... show more

My pup has been eating this food for 10 or so years. I tried to wean him onto a less expensive food, but the transition did not work. After several weeks he went back on Nutro Ultra and all issues went away within a week. He's 45 lbs and his weight has been within a couple of pounds of that since I brought him home, and he eats 1 1/2 cups a day. The only alteration I have made is the addition of a bit of dietary fiber sprinkled onto his morning meal. Highly recommended ... show more
