I am as mad about the lids not being microwave or oven comparable. But that is what the description says, below make sure you read the last line. Microwave, Oven, Freezer, Dishwasher Safe: This glass casserole dish is oven safe up to 482°F. Dishwasher safe or hand wash for quick, easy cleanup. Each casserole dish with lid will be a powerful helper in the kitchen. NOTE: No direct fire or induction cooker. The lid is NOT oven/microwave oven safe. Now sure might be send back also. The size is nice and what I wanted, but bought it because it had a glass lid. If you can’t use it in the oven or microwave, it could’ve had a plastic lid half the price. Update I unpacked and read the pamphlet that came with it. Mine does not say the the glass lids are NOT oven/microwave oven safe. it only refers to the plastic lids picture attached Update I have been using the three casserole dishes daily for almost 8 months. I used them in the microwave and oven. NO cracks or chips. Also wash them in my dished. I can’t tell you why some crack maybe I’m just lucky.

I will agree that this dish with lids is cute, but I did not purchase this to look at. I purchased it to bake with. I wanted a lid so I would not have to use aluminum foil. Well, I had the dish with lid in oven set at 325. Within 10 minutes, I smelled burning. (I live in a small studio apartment, thank goodness.) I immediately took dish out of the oven. I don't know if it cracks or not. I did not want to clean up broken glass. So, whomever is reading this, can I please use your oven to try my cute dish in?
